Can only think the coaches believe that players are still fit from the end of the season, and that this is not a normal pre-season.

Surely we need to field our best players in their strongest position, rather than using them to fill gaps elsewhere. It's the same as the debate about moving Ric to the wing.

Was really expecting to see our strongest available team. This doesn't fill me with confidence going into next weekend with regards to our preparation

I just feel like so many attacks break down when Ndidi has the ball. 

 

He's outstanding at breaking down opposition attacks, mind. There was quite a few occasions last season where he'd win the ball only to give it straight back to the opposition.

What we don’t know is how many behind closed doors with no live coverage/public knowledge friendlies are happening during the week etc. I’d guess we’ve played a few more than had been reported!

I've been crying out for squad strengthening for a while. Sort the recruitment out city.

With internationals and injuries this is what's left.  No need to worry too much all our international players will be getting put through their paces whether they play or not. 

 

Those who are injured, can't do much about that apart from sack the head physio.

I reckon the answer to that is zero. These things pretty much always get reported on somewhere.

So Jakupovic can’t even get a game when no one else is available, why extend his contract? We have so many players who don’t play and even extend contracts when we know this 🤷🏻‍♂️

The start of the PL season is going to be a complete lottery, I think. Could be some very strange results, given the lack of prep that teams have had.

Will be the same as in the last games I imagine where we do a big change at half time and he will play the 2nd half

Hope Benkovic is away with Croatia rather than being injured 

 

Always interesting to see couple of new names pop up. Bit weird that Jakupovic isn't starting but good to see a young lad get a chance. 

 

Ndidi at centre back could be interesting. 

 

Defence is obviously makeshift but want to see more from our senior attackers.
