There have been some nominations, and wins I've not agreed with. Giggs shouldn't have won in 2009, he should have got a lifetime achievement award for example.

O'Sullivan's nomination this year feels a bit like Giggs' did in '09 and Phil 'The Power' Taylor's in whatever random year he got picked in the top 6.

If Ronnie wins it I reckon it'll feel more like a lifetime achievement award that what he actually did in 2020

Yeah because he hasn't actually been the best in his sport this year.

AP McCoys was similar too.

Just listening to what Fury said when asking to be taken off the list. He's claiming he's the People Champion, and doesn't need awards to verify that. But this is an award voted by the public, so this wouldn't be an industry award, it would be confirming his place as the peoples champ. I think he's worried he won't get many votes and can't face the fact he's not as popular as he thinks and somebody might be more popular. He sounds like Trump.

I’d like to see Rob Burrow recognised this year. One of the best ever RL players in his day, who never let his size stop him from achieving everything he did, brought to his knees by an illness we, even in the modern world as it is now, know very little about from a treatment point of view.

Will probably get the Helen Rollason Award.

Should be Lee Westwood.

Europe’s Number 1 golfer for the third time at the ripe old age of 47.

Incredible achievement

Fully deserved.

Surprised by 2nd and 3rd, but the only other two main contenders imo to Lewis were acting like twats in the run up. Fury pretending he didn't care because he was scared he'd lose and O'Sullivan constantly going on about Hamilton not being talented, plus his antics in the recent snooker tournaments.

Hope fury finishes last apart from that all good.

ideally Hamilton first Ronnie second.

Fury is like Trump though. If he's last it'll be because he told people not to vote, had he won it would have been proof he's the people's champ. He can't lose, he's always right. Best thing that could have happened is he finish 2nd or 3rd. Get enough votes to show his plea for no votes fell on deaf ears with his fans, but also proof there are more popular people than him.

Nah fck him, he would of loved nothing more than a podium place.

He’s tried to be clever, hence why he’s taken  prime time morning and evening interviews on ITV this week  to ram home the fact he’s withdrawn, and it’s back fired. Attention seeking reverse psychology nonsense he’s employed throughout his boxing career with his multiple “retirements”

He should of used the opportunity to promote mental health issues firstly and the sport of boxing secondly.

The right man won, only issue is with Ronnie not being in the top 3.
