More importantly, which cheeses & chutneys are we going with on our cheese boards?

I had an email from Sainsburys saying they haven't got most of the cheese I ordered for my click & collect tonight, so I've just been to Morrisons, who do a better selection anyway, and bought:

White Stilton

Yorkshire Blue (no Shropshire Blue, which is my favourite)

Wenslydale with cranberries

Brie

Port Salut

Red Leicester

Apple wood Cheddar

Smoked Austrian

Boursin

Welsh Goats Cheese

Truffle Cheddar

A selection of continental meats and olives.

Jalapeño Jam, Tomato and Habenero Chutney, Caremelised Onion Chutney, Beetroot and Orange Chutney.

Celery, Vine ripened Cherry Tomatoes.

A selection of crackers.

Bottle of Port.

I like a cheeseboard. And if you can't spoil yourself at Xmas, when can you? lol

What do people do for Christmas breakfast? We are having muffins with either smoked salmon and cream cheese or pate.

Bucks fizz.

Warm Canadian buttered pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup. Trying for the "Bill's breakfast", about as close we in Englandshire can get to the American Crackerbarrel breakfast.

Who eats cold pancakes?   They have got to be hot off the stove with real maple syrup,  none of the fake american syrup (aunt jemima).  Butter, Raspberries,  strawberries, blue berries, banana slices, peach slices,  heck even jams if you prefer. Some Canadian style bacon too. Nom nom. Know what im having tomorrow for my birthday breakkie! Merci beaucoup mon ami!

With the mrs and her family this year and they’ve gone all out by the looks of it. Turkey, Beef and Ham this year.

Cauliflower is traditional and I’ll eat enough sprouts to put me in to a coma. You don’t need bacon with them they’re nice enough on their own.

I’m the only one who eats Christmas pudding so I’ve bought my own and will have a good crack at seeing that off myself. Brandy cream with a Martell chaser.

Cheese board, featuring German smoked cheese. Lovely stuff.

Just put the ham in. It's coated in mustard, marmalade, and honey, studded with cloves and garlic.

It already smells amazing.

No turkeys to be found in Lusaka this year, so going with a couple of chickens as well as the ham.

We are going to be eating left overs for days!

Had a bit of a fat fire and my turkey got a bit scorched unfortunately, it didn’t spoil the meat but the skin had to go unserved.

Burnt my hand on it as well, fortunately have a nurse in the house otherwise I might have needed a trip to the royal lol

Best dinner of the year, the missus forgot the stuffing though so I'll have to fry it up tomorrow for breakfast.
