Roast chicken

Roast potatoes

Quality pigs in blankets (not pre-made)

Sausagemeat stuffing

Carrots

Parsnips

Brussel sprouts

Sweetcorn

Cranberry sauce

Gravy

And this year cauliflower cheese and/or mashed potatoes

I was going to make braised cabbage but I went through a phase earlier in the year where I ate too much and got bored of it lol

It’s just a Sunday roast, I don’t understand the fuss around Christmas dinner tbh

It's the extra bits that ramp it up, you've got to make it special! Unless you pig-in-blanket it up every Sunday like an utter madman

Turkey is basically dry chicken with less flavour, don't see the point. Turkey is also more expensive, just get a big chicken, or 2 chickens

Turkey isnt dry..depends on the cook..

Turkey has a richer flavour and won't be dry if you cook it properly.

At this stage it's whatever's left in the post-apocalyptic wasteland Tier 4 England.

I was thinking of trying my hand at a beef wellington, if I can get the ingredients.

Yeah that’s probably the answer. Might also chuck a Quorn log in the oven for them if I remember!

We were going to go veggie for Christmas dinner.. but then I remembered pigs in blankets, so I just can't do it! We will be making a nut roast though instead of turkey. Besides that I will have a few bits of veg alongside the stars of the show - roast potatoes and parsnips.
