Bit of a random one but I was chatting to a friend about which player from recent times (Pearson championship era) you wish could've been a part of the title winning sides. Not so much based on who would've made the better contribution to that season but just the one you'd want to be a premier league winner with us

We narrowed it down to 3 but open to other suggestions

Interesting thread!

I would go for Dyer as he contributed to our promotion from League 1 and all of the additional seasons until our promotion to Premier League.

I’ve met knockaert and he’s a bit of a pr*ck of a bloke.

I loved Nuge but he was limited in the Prem and never really had the ability to step up on 3/4 different occasions.

Dyer for me was the key reason we recovered from league 1 so quick. He looked like he was far too good for that level and always believe he could do a job in the premier league.

So yeah Dyer 100% for me.

Lloyd Dyer was a cult hero in the club's darkest hour but if we're being honest he was Championship quality at absolute best.

Nugent for his contribution in the promotion and great escape seasons.

Tough choice.

Loved all three but it was a real shame Dyer never played for us in the Premier League. I'll say Lloyd but very close between him and Nugent.

We've had some great characters over the years.

I think the myth that Dyer was championship at best for me is not proven.

Yeah he wasn’t blessed with fantastic technique but there have been far far far worse wingers in the Premier League over the years. He would do better in the Prem than Nuge did I think. Nothing against Nuge though as I’d of loved him to get in on the title act too!

Lloyd Dyer or Bruno Berner, my two favourite players from that era.

I met and spoke with Chris Powell when we played a preseason friendly at Loughborough. He was brilliant and a real gentlemen.

Thought Nugent was actually pretty decent in our great escape season. He actually kept Mahrez out the side for a while due to his good form in the atracking midfield position in 3-4-1-2 formation we played during the great escape run.

Loved Dyer too, but it has to be Nugent for me.

Knockaert was great but I don't quite hold him in the same esteem as Nugent and Dyer.

Yeah probably pointless adding Knockaert in hindsight

Tough one between Nugent and Dyer, but I don't want King to lose his status at the only player to win League 1, the championship and the Premier league with one club, so I went Nugent.

I went for Nugent, I was a big fan of his and he'd only just left if my memory is correct. Obviously loved Dyer too.

Enjoyed watching Knockaert but never had the same affection for him.

Not quite the same as he was here but a shame Matty James wasn't more involved.
