Put anyone there instead of having three defensive midfielders on the bench. For example who knows if Rashford would have broken through without Man Utd being desperate, he wasn't pulling up any trees at u23 level at the time, likewise Thomas for us last season. The experience alone might give them an extra push to want more of it.

They are best attacking from deep, overlapping, not pushed up field being the only ones providing any width. 1

Also hope this is 3-4-1-2 and not a 5-4-1 from us. Big reliance on the pereira, Castagne axes today both in an attacking sense and defensively.

Praet was supposed to be available, so it's worth at least asking what happened there. Not suiting Tavares up under the circumstances seems very odd indeed.
