It’s a great draw as a starting point. After the group our half of the draw you’d not be all that worried. Great pathway.

Hopefully the group will be, England, Iran, USA and Ukraine. One as Ukraine of course, the things their going through need something to cheer about and two do we really wanna see Gareth Bale's mug at the world cup.

Well I mean, the US did beat England the only two times we've met at the world cup: 

1-0 vs England in 1950

1-1 vs England in 2010

To be fair 1950 was our debut tournament and 2010 we took an unfit dads army squad. In 2010 United States had some good players, I mean Clint Dempsey was of course their main man also Landon Donovan.

I'm pretty convinced France will make the final, didn't have a good Euros of course. Though I'd blame that more to the manager, I think he tried to change things to quickly after the World Cup in 2018, they had good team and system. But for some reason going into the Euros they decided to change the tactics which I don't think suited the French, as they say don't try and fix something that's not broken. After that tournament, they went back to the old system and since gone back to their strength of 2018.

I'm gutted because this draw has gotten me excited but odds are, we won't even qualify.

Isnt the temperature meant to be around the mid 20s? I know its going to be warm but I didn't think it was going to be as warm as Japan and south Korea or Manuas Brazil

So still quite hot, but not unbearable? The only silver lining is that it should be less humid than it was in Brazil.

Lived in Qatar for the past 5 years. minimum humidity .. around mid November the humidity switches off like someone's just flicked a switch. Days will be warm in late Nov/early Dec but all the stadiums are airconditioned.. not much concern about global warming here. Nights will be nice but you'll need a light jumper as December gets older. May get a Shmall (North wind) on days later in Dec as the seasons change which can kick up a bit of sand.  If anybody is coming to Qatar for the world cup let me know happy to help. Me... bought tickets to 12 group stage games, 4 round 16, 2 QF and 1 semi final.

Yes guess it will comfortable to play in otherwise they wouldn’t bother to move the dates if it wasn’t going to make a difference.

 

I notice it’s 4 games a day in the group stages then knock out rounds kicking off at 6 and 10 local time ( 3 hours ahead )
