I don’t think it’ll happen this season either way. The legal wrangling won’t be sorted in 8 weeks. If they were to have a points deduction, it would be next season.

They could retrospectively apply them to this season, therefore stripping Manchester City of the title but not award it to anyone else.

it would be harsh on the fans of any of the 6, as they’re the lifeblood of the club. 90% of them don’t want this.

Due to the severity of the timing and also the shameful way to try and leave the premier league to join the ESL.

The premier league can quite easily deduct points with immediate effect. This is because the 6 in question have been clear about joing the ESL and have submitted paperwork to do so therefore proving they are guilty of breaching the leagues rules.

This season I can see a minimum of 30 points deducted from each of the 6 teams and a huge fine. This is because what is the point in awarding them anything in regards to season success when trying to leave.

Nothing will happen this season.  All they've done is stated an intention to leave, but they haven't kicked a ball yet and there is so much that still needs sorting.  A points deduction next season is more likely imo, or at worst, they'll strip Man City of the title and void it.

I'd probably take a bye in the Cup Final though.

Personally, I would never acknowledge it.

Regardless of this Super League shit, Man City are the deserved winners.

I would feel more satisfied that none of the hyped 6 won it than we did.  2016 was magnificent; in  o way would it be the same.   I would like to see their greed dealt with severely.

But you could equally argue that it's a hollow title for Man C because they've bought it.

Which, as unpalatable as it is, is legitimate under current rules.

Would we even win it? Loads of our points this season are from games against the big 6. And I'm sure the big 6 took more points from our 'title rivals'

I imagine an alternative table with the big 6 fixtures scrubbed out, wouldn't put us top anyhow

EDIT: According to this, West Ham would be 9 points clear at the top

Premier League table without the results of Super League clubs

If they were deducted points for cheating then I would celebrate it as a title win. They haven't done anything to get a competitive advantage on the field. In footballing terms we haven't been the best team this season so don't deserve the title. I would take the money and the Champions League top seed spot and the community Shield spot, but I wouldn't accept it as a league title.

The word tainted is somehow  wrong..We haven t done anything wrong..!!

Like Ric said..hollow..!!

But One could say we are moral-Champions...so that would ease it somewhat...!!

Best Way around it...void this years title...But First 4 get CL...Next 3 europa-spot...

Cups Not to count this season....3 from 4 finalists...belong on the Naughty stool...

That is only if their results are removed if the greedy 6 have a points deduction then we stay above West Ham.

It doesn't, but the season calculated that way would be invalid anyway - who is to say the remaining results would have played out the same had those erased fixtures never taken place?

Yes I suppose it depends if it's expulsion or points deduction

Man City haven't deserved any of the silver ware they have won in the last 15 years.

If you have to buy success it's not deserved only clubs that earn there success through hard work deserve it

I'd be happy because I had a tenner on us at 25/1 when we beat Chelsea.

Judging by Steve Parish's comments on MNF, I don't think he wants to ostracise them.

The only way it could happen is if they all received a 20 point deduction. Arsenal would drop into the bottom 3 and Man City would be behind us at West Ham.

Twist it slightly, obviously this season would feel undeserved because of how far in we are, but what if next season the greedy 6 started with a 15 point deduction and we went on to win the league would it be undeserved?

I think fans from those clubs should all buy leicester shirts. The team that made people dreams can come true! Plus it would help with sales lol

Or offer an amnesty, hand in your big 6 shirt at any city fanstore to receive a Vichai scarf and a balti pie
