Can you imagine huth in the side?lol pushed up to the half way line, threading through balls to the striker, would pay to see that

Tough one. Feel like Huth was one of the most important signings we made since coming up. That goal against Spurs is enough to include him for me lol

Ah I'm glad you put Albrighton in. I feel less guilty now he's got a mention lol

Hard not to get torn between hero's who have given years of service and delivered the pinnacle of the clubs history and todays players who simply haven't had the time but are undeniably better players.

Yeah, it’s a difficult one - because surely huth and Morgan have to get in? But in terms of quality I’d say they drop out.

I think seeing this team and how good they are makes me realise how amazing the 15/16 team were... I mean, we finished about 20 points ahead of the team last year, just amazing!

It depends what you mean by undeniably better?

Technically better? absolutely. Mentally better and more consistently at it? Absolutely not. This current side still have a soft under belly at times and are still prone to brainfart performances that the 2016 side didn't.

I think Castagne vs Fuchs is a good example. Castagne is probably the more technically gifted player but peak Fuchs was just so consistent and reliable and you just didn't get the lull of mediocre performances like Castagne put several in a row of a few weeks ago.

The thing that made the 2016 side so good was their absurd levels of consistency. Players in that side just didn't have mediocre patches of form.

Surprised at the amount of Castagne picks, I’d argue James Justin looked stronger before his injury.

OK no one can touch the "team" of 15/16

but individually, most if not all of today's players are technically superior.

15/16 were God's for 1 season and todays squad may never reach the same heights but could well have a longer period of sustained success.
