StanSP Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 What other manager has ever survived 6 straight losses, only 1 point from first 7 games, with 3 of those games being where we've conceded 4+ goals?!

Corky Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Why should the fans have to make a real fuss? If the board can't see what is happening for themselves then the issue is bigger than it looks. 2

Yeah but what other manager has culturally reconnected the club to its values better than our Brendan? 3

Their holier than thou status to many here is scary. This is it. Half the problem is that the owner and club hierarchy have gone all in on Brendan because they know nothing about football. They couldn't do what Brighton have done and scout managers across Europe, for example. This makes Brendans position more secure than it should be. 4 1

We overachieved in the sense we beat Manchester United and Chelsea on the way. But we won won who cares. Regarding “overachieving”, I don’t buy Rodgers’ use of the term. When we better use what we have—be it scouts, team spirit, and the rest—we simply outperform. I’m not disputing we have less cash and fewer fans. We have, despite that, and much to the credit to the club and staff, performed to a very, very high standard. And when Rodgers frames that as overachieving he gives himself another excuse for when he fails to perform to our previous standards. Edited 18 September 2022 by Foxxed 1

Dahnsouff Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Patience required I reckon, two weeks to get him out, new boss in, some changes in training made

It's a horrible place to be but that's where I am. Get him gone. Exactly, say he’s in charge against Forest and we beat the side in 19th, at home, that means he’s all of a sudden good enough and capable of turning it around? We could win each of the next 5 games and the start to the season still would have been crap. Part of the reason he needs to go is that the culture at the club is too soft, we give endless opportunities to “get it right” and the consequence is that you embed mediocrity rather than pursuing excellence.

Guys, its not about results any more. He could win the next 10 games and he would still be a cv nt 1

The fact the ground isn't toxic and despite people saying it'll turn toxic personally I think we're a fair way from that with our soft, wet wipe, happy clapping fanbase is telling of how patient and people are willing to let this get even worse. The only way I see the ground turning toxic is that enough of us are so fed up with it, voice discontent and the happy clappers take umbridge with it and there are arguments, even fighting amongst the crowd. It is absolutely mind boggling that anyone could still want him here. That just about sums up our match-going supporters doesn't it really. Passive and passionless personified. 2
ConnFoxUS Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Meanwhile, the NBC crew is about to discuss how “pressure is mounting” on Brendan Rodgers. Seems like we are going to confine have these conversations all the way to the Championship.
Rusko187 Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 This club is seriously p*****g me off now, just do what’s necessary and let’s move on from this crap! 4

Of course there’s plenty of time in the season but given we are getting worse by the game it’s hardly surprising that people can’t see where 39 more points are coming from? I’m assuming you can? Or you have a list of teams who have survived from similar positions to this? Where do you think the next point is coming from them genius? 1 1
Dames Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 If it hasn’t happened by now its not happening. See you all after the next humiliating defeat and the one after that ad infinitum.
Nobbyburton Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 If there’s one thing that will turn our passive and passionless fan base a bit toxic, it will be losing at home to Forest.
