Looks like nothing has really changed.... the decline continues... It's not circumstantial, it's not due to injuries anymore, it's down to Rodgers playing an outdated mode of football and not adapting to the players he has at his disposal. he's a smoother version of Puel, without the ability to spot talent and get it into the club! POST FROM FEBRUARY... in our last 32 games, we've won 12, drawn 7 and lost 12 in all competitions.... which is a 37% (ish) win rate..... Puel in 67 games had 23 wins, 18 draws and 26 loses..... So he is roughly run rating at the Claude Puel level, but getting paid a kings ransom to play what is effectively the same style of football. his style is outdated now. virtually all teams work hard, hustle, close down. Apparently we don't. We risk getting left behind if we don't make a change soon. just for some balance... in the previous 32 games to the ones listed above.... 20 Wins, 8 Draws and 6 Losses - so a 62% win rate (give or take) it's an alarming slide.... SOME of which I think can be attributed to the Injuries. But it's a managers job to navigate those issues. To manage training levels, address tiredness etc. 64 games, 32 wins, 15 draws and 18 losses across all competitions is decent. it's a 50% win rate.... he's picking up points in 73% of games.... (across 64 games) We are currently picking up points in 60% of our games.... *this doesn't include the weekends result... it would be really interesting to see a breakdown of the win percentages over each season that he has been here and if there is a general trend (i have no idea whether there is or there isn't in either direction) but if it's got generally worse since he got here, then it's a terminal decline that he won't arrest. if it was generally getting better before this season, then maybe it is just a blip based on injury record etc. *edit... ive just done it... not sure how this will format in here though.... Season Matches Wins Draws Losses PPM Win % 21/22 23 7 6 10 1.17 30.43 20/21 38 20 6 12 1.74 52.6 19/20 38 18 8 12 1.63 47.3 18/19 10 5 2 3 1.70 50% 1.17 x 38 = 44 points. should in theory be enough based on current PPG average to stave off relegation... just depends how brave the board are feeling. Great post mate. We won’t get anywhere near 44 points this season by sticking with Rodgers though. I’d be amazed if we managed 25.
S1ddo71 Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 I've just seen that according to the Muckery, that Rafa's already applied for the vacancy. WTF? 🤣

Blue-fox Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 Sorry guys, was shafted by a vicious rumour and got excited 😂

Whether he believes it to be so repugnant to pay off Ridgers to leave, or he believes, he (Rodgers) deserves more time, it will still be his decision to make. Whether it is a cultural thing and he is waiting for a certain day to do it, I do not know, but his dithering is not helping the situation. How you can sit there and watch the team, week after week being taken apart on the pitch, and decide that the person responsible for the situation needs more time and consideration?

kingkisnorbo Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 Interesting video. Pretty much summarises that almost all of our issues are coming from guess who. *Shock horror*

Happy Fox Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 @Chocolate Teapot when are we likely to hear some news? This tweet from Jake’s sums up my feelings. Jake Watson @JakeWatson_TV · 33m I don’t take saying this lightly but #LCFC not taking this opportunity to sack Rodgers is a mistake by Top. His time is up - he knows it, as do players. There’s complete apathy around the club. This is a mid table squad sleep walking into a relegation battle unless it acts now. 2
S1ddo71 Posted 20 September 2022 Posted 20 September 2022 I wish Brendan would make like his namesake Buck and piss off to the 25th Century. 2
Popular Post Sampson Posted 20 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 20 September 2022 I’d take Benitez til the end of the season to keep us up and sort our defence out, not sure I’d want him long term though 6

There have been many many occasions where his severance negotiations would have taken place, we have not sacked him so you would assume that it may not all be to do with the cost. We have no intention of relieving him of his contract it seems. The contract stipulated how much the club will have to pay in order to make him go away. There are no more discussions or meetings required in order to implement this!! 1

Well there is always room for negotiations you don’t just accept the contact and pay up You might suggest that you allow rodgers to resign and still take 70% of what he’s entitled to in order to appear to save his reputation and avoid a sacking things don’t have to be black and white and they rarely are when push comes to shove ….. 1
