‘It could cost us the cup‘ 😂😂 deary me. I think anyone with even an ounce of football knowledge will know our starting 11 tonight is almost certainly going to be the team we start in the final with maybe the exception of Thomas.

I don’t think Sean likes FT.

I knew he'd tweet that 2 hours before it appeared.

I think you’re reading way too much into this

Realistically I would think that it makes bob all difference

Yes, what possible difference could it make? So what if they get 5x the length of time to study our team and make adjustments to their tactics or teamtalks? We still get an hour to look at theirs after all. Although of course at that point we've submitted our teamsheet and can't make any personnel changes. But still, 60 minutes compared to their 180, or their several hours, or sometimes the whole day before. We're not at that much of a disadvantage!

Anyway, I'm sure it doesn't even help to know exactly who you're playing the night before. It's not like we're playing in the top echelons of football with the best tacticians or that the margins are so slim that owners are willing to spend millions of pounds on anything that could give their team even the slightest edge. What's everyone so worried about? Think of what we gain in return. We get to know which players we're cheering on a day before we see them on the pitch! It's a fantastic trade off!

Quite possibly…. It’s just a view, but, I doubt it makes much odds? Far many more factors are likely to have an impact and the intricacies of tactics go way beyond a team sheet…

Could also get them worried when they see x player is fit and raring to go…

Not sure who this Sam lad is but seems to only do it for FPL reasons so he might not bother with the FA cup final.

I'm not sure releasing a team a few hours before a game will really have a massive effect on a team or manager. Most players are either resting or playing fifa by the time these get leaked.

Plus if you if look hard enough on Twitter most teams are available before they officially get announced.

Agreed. But why should they get to know our team at all? Almost all the arguments I've seen in favour of leaking the team are along the lines of 'it probably won't make a difference.' Sure, in each individual game the probability is that it won't. But if it even cost us 1 or 2 points a season that would be a ridiculous state of affairs. And for what? What do we gain out of it?

The other one I've seen is 'we've played the same team for the last X games.' Okay? And what happens when we don't have a settled side? When there a number of different options and knowing who's starting gives away whether we're looking to play wide/narrow etc? Don't tell me these accounts will be using their discretion like that, they'll leak it just the same.

1-2 points ?

They get an hour anyway….   If they were going to tweak it’d be based on an official announcement

I’m not desperate to see a team sheet as I’m relatively patient, so, doesn’t really bother me either way…. Match thread kicks off with “oh SFE was right I see”. It’s just confirmatory…

BR actually stated how he was going to beat Leeds in an interview before we went on to win…. It was based on probable team and style of play…

If anything we have demonstrated how tactically fluid we are this year…. We must be a nightmare to set up against.

I just think that people are jumping up and down over something that is highly likely to have zero bearing on any outcome…. I will save my anger for the ESL #6 !!!

I appreciate your points though and i follow the logic of not the impact…

The idea that Tuchel, or any coach for that matter, is going to adjust their gameplan based on a leaked lineup from some anonymous twitter account is laughable.

The only thing that's laughable is you believing that half of FT knows our starting 11 but the oppo dugout are in the dark lol

Funny you mention them with the whole Bielsa spygate business. Not sure why he'd bother with all that and paying a £200k fine if it made zero difference. And yeah I appreciate that the margins are tiny and there are bigger fish to fry with the super league but I can understand why it gets on people's nerves. It can only possibly hurt us and it provides zero benefit, so why is it happening?

I don't really like SFE doing it but I strongly suspect PL Managers do not adjust their game plan or rely on information provided by a random LCFC fan on twitter.

These guys will be training for two or three different line-ups regardless who is picked, and will just remind the players of what they have worked on for a week once theline-ups are confirmed. Chelsea will have a plan for Riccardo or Thomas, Castagne or Amartey and Ayoze or Maddison. 442 or 352!

At the end of the day they they will play their way, us ours and the hope is we execute our plans better than they do on the day.

I'm laughing at him for tweeting that as it's so ridiculous but then part of me is also a bit angry that he's undermining people with actual mental health problems or who receive abuse online.

Obviously I don't know whether he has mental health issues but he's more deluded than first thought if he thinks he's suffered anything more than a light ribbing, especially considering he's trying to force himself into the spotlight.

Poor Sean I am genuinely concerned for his welfare and would like to extend a heartfelt and humble apology on behalf of all persons here present .

What is twitter anyway ?
