Just thinking, Man United away could clinch us top 4 and UCL, and all the revenue that brings. We could make totally different transfers to if we are not in it, and obviously can line the coffers a lot more. Its more exposure, and would get rid of the demons of last season. Most likely United will rest a few with playing Thursday, If we can play like we did against them in the cup or like we have at times away this season, we could win and put us 1 foot in the top 4, Wet Spam are not catching us if we win.

Then, it's the cup final. Lcfc in the FA cup final. Still seems surreal. Obviously would have been better to get there in a year when 40k city fans beered up in blue and white wigs were there, but still a momentous occasion and achievement. To win it would be to many, the missing piece. We've won the league, the league Cup, and to win this aswell would be amazing.

So just thinking a huge huge league game and a cup final, have we ever really had such a pivotal week as a club?

Top 4 and cup winners, our 2nd best ever season in our history. Or lightning striking twice bottling top 4 after being in it all season 2 seasons in a row and Cup final losers a record 5 times?

I'm intrigued how it will play out. I'd like to think playing away suits us and we can bring our A game to united and at least draw, this will give us confidence for the final which will be very tough.

We could have had no club to follow.

Yeah I appreciate that, and expected people to mention that aswell as maybe the Tony James goal and the Stoke game etc but to me this seems like so big in terms of where can go as a club. Are we to be serial runners up and nearly men or can we crack the top 4 and win the cup. If we do succeed it will be huge going forwards in attracting players, keeping players, etc.

Its a big week, but it doesn't define us, like the Champions season, or the relegation down to the 3rd division did. There's always next season, where as in 2002 it may not have been this way.

I would agree that its the 2nd best positive week in our history after the league win.

We are doing it the typical Lester way - hard. The media love drama and we are certainly playing our part. we are where we are so lets get behind the boys and do this. Just think If we get champions league and win the FA cup how elated will we all be. Major piss#up from Leicester to all supporting corners of the earth! I hope and pray it could be epic. I might just pay a visit to the local buddhist temple and leave my precious foxes scarf their for some good luck. :worship:

Well I'm nervous and distracted by the whole thing and not particularly hopeful. The weekend was awful looking for comfort in West Ham and Spurs slipping up whilst  watching Chelsea somehow beat city when it should have been over at half time etc. The posts about maximum points totals reminded me so much of last season. So how the players are feeling I really don't know but they need to sort their minds out in the next 24 hours. After the Newcastle game I would be more than happy if we get one out of two competitions. I suppose Champions League would be better going forward but I'm worried about Liverpool's run in.

Liverpool have to lose at OT on Thursday and we have to get something there on Tuesday.. simple as that!

I haven't been this anxious about Leicester in years, which adds to my heightened sense of anxiety after 15 months of the pandemic. Tbh I might retire from football fandom after this season.

whatever happens, happens. we'll all still wake up on Sunday morning and drag ourselves to work on Monday. am I still bothered about that penalty in the play offs? am I still bothered about relegation?

this is all part of football. some weeks are bigger than others. some you win, some you lose.  other than winning Champions League, we'll not have as big a success as the miracle league win again, so just enjoy what happens. you can be rightly angry and annoyed at certain incidents and players/ staff but remember - it's not the be all and end all of your life.

Huge week! Title one is still biggest ever though.

I'm going to try enjoy it, rather than do the doom gloom thing many are doing on here.

Love this club and what a roller coaster it is being a fan! :scarf:

I'm relaxed.

The worst that can happen is me telling my grandkids in 20 years about 'what could've been'. It'll make a good yarn.

I wish I could say the same. My arsehole is going like a rabbits nose.

Working tomorrow and would usually have a stream on in the peripheral but don't even think I can bring myself to do it.

Less stressed about the cup game. Obviously want it but it's a cup game.... what will be, will be.

Yes, going down to League One was the biggest week.

Fortunately we've been able to look back and breathe enormous sighs of relief but it really could've got a lot worse.

This could be gigantic but the consequences shouldn't be terminal.

It would be bigger if we needed these points to stay up. As disappointing as it would be if we were to come out of this season without the FA cup and not getting Champions League, considering the wonderful position we had ourselves in, it’s still been a brilliant season for the football club.

Small time mentality, that.

The week spurs bottled it against West Brom and we could win the league against Utd will always be the biggest week in the clubs history for me.

The trip to the pub that day was surreal. We had a chance to win the league…!

I mean we didn’t, but we nearly did with 10 men - and at OT.

It will be very close to doing so IMO - a win might just do it plus it will make the last two league games plus Saturday more interesting!
