Going into administration.

 

Burton Albion first game null and void.

 

Wallington injured against Shrewsbury with us 2-1 down. Two goalkeepers later and we win 5-2.

 

2-0 down against non league Leatherhead.

 

On the verge of signing Johann Cruyff.

 

Rumours that we were going to sign Becks.

 

Hazard equaliser against Spurs

 

Swapping Jim Melrose for Tommy English

 

3-0 up against Wolves and then losing 4-3

In the early 90s I was in the Shires shopping centre and there was a food stand offering samples of a new cheese: Green Leicester. Despite being nervous, my mum got me to have a try and report back that it was 'quite nice and i would eat it in a sandwich'. What my mother didn't realise was that it was 1st April and our photo's would be plastered over the centre pages of the Mercury the next day :facepalm:

Maintain it was totally corrupt. There's no way on earth that first half was fairly refereed. Even the red was just making up for criticism he'd had in the week for not giving another.

Yuk. Wouldn't go near it.

it was cheddar with green food colouring. I recall that it was quite nice and I would have eaten it in a sandwhich :-)

Fine. It's just that I've made a cheese sandwich in the past, then taking a bite, realising that it didn't taste right, then inspecting it to find there was green mould that I hadn't spotted before. Now just looking at green cheese would make me retch.

Wasn't much longer than a month and was only about 14 yrs ago, again seems an age ago.  Progress we've made since those relatively recent dark days is nothing short of astonishing.

Desperately needing a centre half in the January window of 2017, signing Molla Wague on deadline day and then him going on to play an absolute shocker on debut in a 1-0 loss to 10 man Millwall where he received a season ending injury.

I think calling this the complete list may be a bit optimistic... we've had a few repeats, but we're at the bottom of page 5 & we're still just getting to the important toilet dramas...

Was about 2012 I’m gonna say and someone who use to post on here called lcfc weasel had brought loads of sandwich bags of confetti to be thrown when the team came out. I’m gonna say it was either Swindon or burton in the fa cup. Anyway he threw one of the sandwich bags and ended up in the cells under the away end. I think he had moved to the family stand (n block)to be nearer the away fans and get atmosphere going. He posted on here before about doing it, to get people involved. Then came after explaining he’d been given a police caution !!! For throwing a sandwich bag !!! Then everyone was going mental calling for Kevin Barclay ( he was in charge of Match days ) to be sacked. I swear he came on here and explained the rules to us all !!! But we were planning a protest because we had a game on sky next ( gonna say boro in the snow ) but people didn’t want it happen because it might distract the players !!

Anyone remember when Martin Allen got sacked we went to the rearrange forest cup game and sang one Martin Allen. Milan came out and said we weren’t real fans and called for a crisis meeting at the walkers and spoke about the signings and Gary megson. Then he opened the floor for us to ask questions and always remember the first question asked

 

 

why didn’t we have a striker on the bench against villa?!! (cup game fryatt scored 1-0) the whole place just erupted in laughter 

 

milan just laughed back and said “ I’m not the manager you will have to ask Gary megson “
