I think he would suit us very well, his level of technique compared to Perez is night and day

There may well be valid reasons to question Perez’s value to the team, but I don’t think his technical ability is one of them.

I used to like Swap Shop.

Swap shop was never for me, I was always swayed by Sally James on Tiswas.  :)

His technical ability is clearly below par and even more so when you compare to someone like pereira

Not sure how you come to that conclusion, but each to their own. I mean he may be a bit shyt unfit for purpose, but he isn't technically shyt

Yeah, know where you’re going with that. Both good really but Tiswas was a lot more anarchic.

There’s a lot worse out there but I find his feet quite slow, his passing limited, his ability to beat a man almost non existent and his shooting very poor

...I think if there is a plus to Perez it is his quick feet!!!

His inability to use them in a positive or consistent way is open to question.

I didn't realise that Pereira has a quality defensive game too. This from The Guardian on why it's a surprise that no one has gone in for him yet,

'West Brom are keen to sell after they were relegated from the Premier League and it’s a surprise no one has snapped up Pereira yet. He finished last season with 17 goal involvements for a poor Baggies side and was the only player in the Premier League to win possession at least 30 times in the defensive, middle and attacking thirds of the pitch'.

Yeah, he ticks all the boxes for a Brendan Rodgers type winger. Especially with Barnes being like shit off a shovel on the opposite side but not quite got the defensive stats he likes, therefore it's essential for Brendan the right winger can do it all.

.....I am not sure why he would not have the required defensive attributes in respect of the above!!!

Really like this lad he’d be a great addition to the squad. Decent season for West Brom in the end with 17 assists the season before 👌🏻

I imagine the only reason we're not in for him already is because we know we can get him via a release clause, so he's on the back burner whilst we look at other avenues. If anyone else activates it then we could simply match it hoping he'd choose us.

It is known that you qualify for Brazil or Portugal. Which is it do you think and if they played each other, who do you want to win?

Portugal. I feel my ‘essence’ is Brazilian but my heart is in Portugal. That’s where all the best memories come from. Portugal used to be a ‘medium’ team, but now they are top, top. To play for them? One hundred per cent, that would be a dream. Portugal is in my heart now. But I suppose the best result would be a draw. Would I like to play for Portugal? (laughing) Perhaps once they find out I’m available after this appears, I will get a call...!

FIFA will "look into" claims about a proposed deal for West Bromwich Albion to sell Matheus Pereira that would have broken Chinese transfer rules.

Football’s world governing body has confirmed to The Athletic that it will look into allegations made in The Times that West Brom's former sporting and technical director Luke Dowling spoke to an agent about selling Pereira in a deal that proposed some of the fee being paid directly to owner Guochuan Lai.

I wonder if there's a push to get deals done for Ghezzal and Hamza before we bring in an RW. Makes sense to make sure deals are at least in place before bringing in a £20m+ player.

Fab is obviously good. But he generates a lot of hype too… it will probably be a rehash of what he said the other day.

He tends to steer well clear of things though if it's very early days or its bandwagon shit. I don't know how he does it to be fair. What's his actual job? Do twitter pay him for all the traffic he generates? 😂

Isn’t he formerly of Sky Italian?
