The so-called 'Big 6' is outdated media instigated nonsense nothing more nothing less. They are in the business of hype and somewhat meaningless at that.

It maybe outdated but it's still alive and well on Sky sports, they still favour those clubs in their programming, their pundit choice, their biased commentary and general reporting which is no surprise as they gave birth to it.  I don't know about BT as I don't have it but I suspect it's just the same.

Quite frankly, I hope we never get considered as a Big 6 club in the way it is currently meant or understood. It is a clique in essence as the Super League farrago showed with an obnoxious sense of entitlement. Far better to be a club that remains rooted, does what's right for it, its fans and football more generally and strive for the top places as best we can on and off the field.

The big six are the six clubs with the most financial power. It's not an invention of Sky's. Whether you think that's important depends on your point of view.

The BT might as well stand for Bumming Tottenham. They are as bad as sky for big 6 hype, and if it's a spurs game they'll wheel out Jenas, hoddle and any other ex spuds they can find. You'd get a more balanced view watching with Chas and Dave on commentary.

And that's one reason why I have never bothered with Sky.

Maybe but it's the likes of Sky that gave them an identity, Big 6 and it's the likes them that reinforce it to such an extent that it's hard for any other club to get a look in. Just because they have the financial power doesn't mean they should get preferential and biased reporting on their behalf.

I hope that the fans in the KP at the weekend get behind the players with No booing at all. All Positive, it's been a great season.

Hearing fans at Spurs Booing and fans moaning about their clubs. WE all need to stand as ONE and not criticize the players.

We are going into the last game, with a chance of Top 4. I remember the relegation battles and League 1. We need to remember where we have become. We Are Better Than those " Big 6" that term should have died with the ESL debacle. WE ARE LEICESTER CITY, OUR CITY!!!

HAHAHA its the fact we have to worry about our fans booing the fa cup champions for finishing in 5th place that makes me think footballs better behind closed doors with stadium sounds.

JK, but human nature is awful isnt it?

Totally agree with this. There are some that will call this "small club mentality" and the like, but being in the top 5 every season and winning cups is a very successful team and honestly more than I ever expected of Leicester City.

Missing out on the Champions League again hurts, of course it does. But seeing the scenes from winning the FA Cup in front of our own fans is what Football is all about. That's what I hope to continue to see in the future!

It's also important to me that Leicester City continue to fly the flag for real football fans and clubs. Seeing what we have achieved without trying to break away and join a super league, voting against high prices for PPV matches, not furloughing any staff during the pandemic, developing local players through our academy and getting them into the football team... I am proud to support this club, they have the values that every football club should aspire to have.

I wouldn't trade what we have seen as fans for oil money pumped into buying the Champions League. It's hollow and feels fake. We have brought back the romance of football to millions of fans around the world. Seeing Andrea Bocelli sing as we lifted the title was the single greatest thing you will ever see in sport, ever!

To be fair seeing the melt down as Brazil got hit for 7 back in 2014 runs it pretty bloody close

Some of our fans could barely accept Spurs were or are considered as one of the big 6. They’ve finished between 2nd-6th for a decade, I don’t think two 5th placed finishes after throwing away consecutive CL finishes really counts.

The big six are the big six because of finances, fanbase and coverage. We could win the double next season and we’d still be substantially smaller than those 6. What matters is we’re better than some of them, which is a lot easier thankfully.

I understand the doom and gloom after we slipped to 5th but come what May we are now again in the top 6 teams in the country, we are again in Europe and we have again won silverware.

We have had an amazing season and we will have another European adventure (hopefully with fans)

So to put a bit of perspective on things we have the

1) best owner in the league

2) best British manager in the league

3) best fans in the league

4) best of all THE FA CUP :scarf:

so let’s give thanks for what we have and look forward to another amazing season next year

Most fans realise we've had a phenomenal season. Some muppets will moan about anything and don't realise how lucky we are.

You shouldn't be referring to other fans as "muppets" just because they have the temerity to point out a few failings in our performances.

He's not - he's referring to people that (and I quote) 'moan about anything'. There's quite a big difference.

A few failings is fine. Hammering our manager and players consistently and getting straight on here and moaning at the slightest mistake is not.

So yes.....muppets. I actually call them something else privately.

Reported signing shows Leicester more serious club than Tottenham

Following the Tottenham loss to Aston Villa yesterday, things continued to get worse as a reported transfer for Leicester City shows they are more serious than the Spurs are. If the rumors are true and Boubacary Soumaré is going from Lille to Leicester City for just €23m we see just how much Leicester City has passed Tottenham by as a club.

The transformation in our club over the past 15 years has been incredible - yes we’ve had investment but so have many other ‘sleeping giants’ without anywhere near the level of success. We’ve come such an incredibly long way, there was laughter from nearly all sides and contempt from many of our rival supporters when Vichai committed to turning us into a top 5 side and that was only 7 years ago. We’ve finished in the top 5 in three of those seasons since, won a league and an fa cup, gone beyond the group stages in 2 euro competitions and became the club that everyone wants to be more like. I’m disappointed we very likely won’t hear the champions league music next year - and who knows when we will again - but perspective just shows the amazing place we are in now in the cycle of our clubs history. Sunday should be an occasion of pride and joy for anyone who is at the ground.

The BIG 6 can keep their media-driven entitlement for eternity.

I hope we are always the OTHER 1. We should never lose that elation after any Premier League win.

Those 6 are only ever "satisfied" with a win, they'll never know the joys of our 5000/1 season.

Also because the Muppets are absolutely  brilliant and it always seems daft to me that people have decided ‘muppet’ is an insult.

In all fairness, unless they fvck up spectacularly from this point on - we should probably return to having a "big four" now tbh.

If United have actually recovered from their wobble and Abramovich is back getting his checkbook out, that lot have no real excuse for letting us catch them.

I know the usual bottle rhetoric will go round but, as others have pointed out and I've got to begrudgingly agree with, we've been quite consistent all year and ultimately two extremely wealthy clubs have just sorted their form out and caught us up. One is last years run away champions and the other is, iirc, Europe's highest spending club this year?

We've done well to be the best of the rest. A near future of being England's Sevilla equivalent wouldn't be awful. Make sure we win the mini league of London clubs plus Everton below us and I'm not sure we can really expect vastly more without a miracle comparable to Tottenham buying and selling Bale.

i cant agree with this enough
