Suitable punishment for both sides is to render the result null and void, and schedule for the fixture to be replayed

P.S. If anyone from the FA is reading this we accept that Amartey was out of order and subsequently insist that you ban Ayoze Perez from playing in the rescheduled fixture.

Can we ask the FA to remove Perez and Amartey from our squad for the remainder of time?

Not enough fighting in football. I love a good scrap. They should award points to the winners or punish them.

Same here, love a ice hockey style free for all. Lucky for Mount that wasn't the case, Big Dan would've ripped him another 4rsehole.😂

Same on Ricardo when he came on Chilwell hit him hard early on he got up and got on with it. Soon as Ricardo put his foot in on Chilwell he went down like a sack of shit.

Yep. And we stopped the game for Chilwell I think it was while he was on the ground.

I was proud of Ricardo. Chilwell acted like a knob all night and so did Rudiger and Mount. Mount seems to fancy himself as someone who can give it out but goes down at the slightest bit of touch.

Well in lads. Get a whip round going.

Rudiger was throwing his weight around from minute one. Disgusting. How he wasnt booked is beyond belief.

It's like in ice hockey where you have a guy who can barely skate or puckhandle, but throws absolute haymakers when called upon. Enforcers in the PL would be a welcome addition haha

There used to be enough - and they were dirty bast-ards too. Leeds in the Revie days had any number - Bremner, Hunter, Giles, Jack Charlton. I think it was on the job description there. Harris at Chelsea, United were relatively benign. Man City didn't have an enforcer but Franny Lee and Summerbee were truly hard men. Dave McKay at Spurs. Tommy Smith at Liverpool. And they were allowed to get away with it. Alan Clarke of Leeds (and Leicester) whilst playing Liverpool was shielding a ball by the touchline. Smith kicked him in the back of the legs so hard that he dropped on to his arse. Free kick! Ian Ure (Arsenal at the time) and Denis Law (Manchester) decided to have a punch-up while play was at the other end of the pitch. Chelsea and Leeds had a vendetta going. It waas a man's game then - beer, fags and GBH on the pitch.

It’ll be around 20k if previous punishments are anything to go by. Also both clubs normally receive different punishments depending who is seen most at fault. Also find it odd that this will be punished but Man Utd won’t for their fans violently getting a game called off.

It made me laugh that mount wants to square up to Amartey. Say what you want about his footballing ability but the lad is build like a house. I’d back him against anyone on either side let alone mason mount 😂

Amartey clearly has a mean streak.

Giles was probably the worst on that list going on reputation. Sneaky with it. I bet Derek Dougan could look after himself if you look at City players.

I know they won't but they should really have a look at Mike Deans performance on the night. The referee plays a significant part in the "temperature" of the match, letting Rudiger get away with 5,6 or more bookable challenges and let him have the attitude that non big 6 players are just there to be thrown to the ground without punishment needs to be looked at as an attributory factor. Deans attitude had been that it's OK, all match, yes he gives the free kick sometimes but nothing else. If he intervenes the first time Rudiger shoves someone that night it doesn't happen but he set the gauge of what's allowable.

Chilwell knows more than anyone about Ricardos injury and left one on him at the first opportunity. Yes Ricardo was similarly pumped up, probably at Chilwell jettisoning last seasons work of the whole squad for his personal future plans by not giving a s**t in the run-in. Ricardo has fouled Chilwell, the free kick has been given the situation after that starts with Rudiger and Chelsea.

Then the Chelsea players seeking out Amartey intentionally, which has absolutely nothing to do with Ricardo v Rudiger, a case of premeditated anger finding an opportunity to come out, I'm even tempted to suggest they stage managed a situation being that close to the bench so they could get to him. Of course I'm biased but the ones who really lost it were mainly Chelsea, how Dean couldn't find more than a yellow card for Amartey yet the F.A, deem it chargeable is a big contrast.

Wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea planned it. No way we were going to get into any rhythm after that.

Agree and not too much harm in getting a red card in the 93rd minute rather than earlier.

Really hope that Mahrez tears that cvnt Chilwell in two in the champs league final and also Ricci P snaps him next season

Shame that's not really Mahrez's style - hopefully leaving him sitting on his arse after wrong-footing him a zillion times will be enough :P

Frank Worthington recalled that he'd outsmarted a Leeds defender and Giles had sidled up to him and threatened to break his leg if he tried it on again.

He wrote a fascinating book called the 'The Great And The Good', in which he discusses what differentiates the two in terms of footballing prowess.

I recall how much a hero Doog was to me but I always see him in my mind's eye in an amber shirt! If you asked me to name a City centre-forward of that era I immediately think of Frank Large and Andy Lochead, but not the Doog. Strange. But he was fearless - really fearless.

Also, I made a mistake in saying Manchester City didn't have an 'enforcer' in that era (I don't like the word used about footballers) - they had a chap called George Heslop. I don't think the word 'brutal' would be over-egging his approach to defending. :)

I really hate violence and fighting in any context - it makes me feel physically sick - but the only time I was up off my seat cheering during the whole watch was for this altercation. Really weird how football can do that to you

Think you're right about Heslop, if memory serves. To me there's a difference between "hard" men and players who were just plain "nasty". I'd put Lochhead and Large in the former and Giles and his ilk in the latter.

I can't remember any former City players in the latter although I'm sure we must have had them.
