Just wanted to let off my thoughts.

In general, i see a lot of folk looking for one "perfect" issue to blame. To me this is more complex. I'll list off my reasoning behind said point. Our biggest issues are:

In game management. Rodgers is very very good tactically but sometimes his in game management and decision making regarding certain players like perez and praet isn't explainable. This manifested itself with almost all the subs today tbh.

Mentality.  Some of our players heads go down when something doesn't go away. Etc.

Softness. We really lack a hard head out there.

Injuries. Way way too many injuries at the club. Can't be accounted for..

Self belief. I believe players like vardy believed we could win, but some certainly don't sometimes.

Fan support. Not going to lie, this played a role. The king power was way too quiet today. Wembley, for example, was not.

Corners. Both offensively and defensively they're our biggest weakness. It's an absolute disgrace to give away what we did and waste what we did.

Lack of signings. This isn't the fault of top but we have a very very very depth deprived squad. Our first 11 can beat any but we have no depth. Need to invest a lot seriously. Look at who Tottenham brought on vs us...

I could continue.

Thoughts?

No wants to hear it , but... it’s Brendan Rodgers is the answer.  Yes the injuries happened today but there was enough available to patch the team up to get us over the line .  We were winning 2-1.  Threw it away .

We started without our best centre back because he’s injured. Then our best remaining centre back had to go off injured relatively early on. That’ll do it.

1. Fofana injury.

2. Stubbornly sticking with a formation we didn't have the personnel for after that way past it becoming glaringly obvious we were capitulating in slow motion.

3. Combination of mental and physical fatigue with no Wes Morgan type figure on the field (bar Vardy) to rally the troops.

Overall, it wasn’t today.

My overwhelming thought on why we didn’t get over the line mind if we are talking specifically about today is their second equaliser. 15 minutes to go, looking comfortable. Knowing Chelsea were losing. That was a huge psychological blow. Our heads went and we huffed and puffed trying to get back ahead. Long aimless balls into nowhere.

This takes time. We have more depth and quality this season than last - which is why we’ve added the cup to maintaining a top 5 place despite some of our best players being injured and alongside European football. I’m sure the squad will have still more depth for next season.

Brendan is to conservative, when it was 1/0, that was the time to press on and get a second

Defensive wise we’re not good enough to protect leads with so long to go.

Squad depth of quality. We have players like amartey, praet, under, Morgan, fuchs, hamza, who will never get on the pitch. We have had to play players like Perez who for me is just a passenger, We have had players dead on their feet and none of these bench players had a chance of playing because Rodgers doesn't think they're good enough

Not being able to call on Ryan Bennett...

It's not about today, it's about the whole season.  Over the season we need a bigger squad of players to deal with injuries and players coming in and out of form.  We don't have that luxury at the moment.  The position wasn't lost today, it was lost over the course of those games against ****house teams that we never seem to pick up points off.

On the injuries, Brendan got rid of Dave Rennie, and now we seem to have more injuries than other Clubs. Seems like Pearson thought he was vital for Leicester winning the Premier League judging by his comments at Bristol City

I’m not sure we do - loads of clubs are having plenty of injuries. We might be towards the unluckier end of the scale, but the relentless amount of games is really bad for all clubs who don’t have Man City levels of strength in depth.

True. But a signing this January would have helped the squad a lot. Or even bringing back kdh.

Yet more injuries and very little depth in the squad.

Exactly this...

Injuries to key first team players

Awful subs bench

Add to that our team is too soft - we go behind and have no clue what to do - there's no-one pulling em up and getting them going again.

I agree. It's not just today but i wanted to focus in on today because of thr fact that we were so close. 20 min was the difference.

Tactics all wrong again today. Subs were also a shambles. Sat far too deep second half. Got what we deserved.

Not sure how the fans get the blame.

It was a lot of things but injuries were the main issue, key injuries. Now we have to hope those players come back to close to where they were in terms of performance.

Some bad decisions by BR at crucial times.

Some players just drifting out of form when it mattered.

Some never finding any - Perez, I’m looking at you son.

Liverpool hitting a hot streak when they’ve been patchy all season.

Definitely game management for me today. I thought we sat too deep far too early. We started the second half well and should’ve continued in that way.

However, that of course is hindsight. Had we kept on the front foot and lost, I would’ve been on here questioning game management but for opposite reasons!

The genuine problem is our squad is not there yet. They brought on Moura and Bale. We brought in Perez. That’s the difference.
