I know nothing of BLM ! I only know my players choose to take a knee in solidarity against the racist structures that exist in a world dominated by white right wing racist policies.

I support them and I applaud there attempts to make our world better, the BLM thing is a red herring that these booing Racists hide behind to justify them being racist

what white right wing racist policies are these? c'mon man, the leader of the free world was black, our british cabinet is the most multicultural it's ever been, we live in a city where a white person is now in the minority, as it is in other cities in England, I'm not sure what these policies are.

I was going to reply to your previous post, but now I think I'll step down and realise that you and I will never see eye to eye.

whats wrong with being right leaning? Most of the Country is right leaning.

you understand people of other skin colours are also racist and people of other skin colours also disagree with the BLM movement?

Most of the country doesn't know how to drive properly. Most of the country is obese. Most of the country, you'll see, is moronic.

He didn't stand up to a racist because he was a racist. Churchill was also racist. He stood up to him because he wanted to maintain Britain's position of power, including our ability to continue to exploit people around the world for our gain.

Absolutely embarrassing hearing fans of my club boo today, even Chelsea fans applauded ffs.

If you are one of them Morons booing today, I suggest you watch this

"To educate in the fight against injustice"

This is what you are booing.

Unless you're insinuating Wes Morgan is a Marxist?

It's a very good explanation of what the knee means and why players take part. It's played before every game they show live and I hope it can put some peoples fear regarding the knee being political to rest.

Don't do that. Respond to my previous post, we don't have to see eye to eye by the end of it.

Let’s also not kid ourselves and act like the people that were booing were doing so because they want stronger action by the authorities taken against racism.

Although a conversation definitely deserves to be had with footballing bodies as there’s still clearly not much being down and massive improvements still need to be made.

I feel sorry for Fofana and Wes Morgan, probably not the best reception to say Hi and Bye on.

I like that video and I like the fact it clearly portrays it as more an act of unity against racism rather than a support to any particular group. But that is the first time I've seen it. Maybe it needs some more air time! I do fear the damage maybe already done with the kneel in some people's eyes though.

I see. Didn’t go to plan then as the empire broke up not too long after the war 😂

I mean to be fair to sky they give it loads of air time (before every game). It would be a good idea if they were to let the BBC, Bt and Amazon as well as international broadcasters use it as well to properly get the message out there. I know a lot of people don't watch sky sports and that (for the first time ever) is an issue.

Saying ‘there’s not a lot of white people in Leicester anymore’ doesn’t mean that racism doesn’t exist, sounds more like a wolf whistle

Well he lost the 1945 election or our decolonisation would have been a lot more bloody and his supporters would find it a lot more difficult to justify his role in history.

Wilfred Zaha thinks taking the knee is inappropriate. Is he a racist?

Does he boo people who take the knee?

I just don't see why you would boo it, seems an odd reaction really.

It’s pretty obvious really why someone would boo it.

I remember one of my first ever games watching on the terraces at Filbert Street in 1981 and Larry May played for us. He made a mistake that led to a goal and the racist abuse he received from some of his 'own' fans' sickened me then. Horrific full stop. I almost never returned. And I know it wasn't just Leicester.

The 1980s could be neanderthal like, really disgraceful. I don't want us ever to be like that again. I hope we've moved on as naive as I might be. The terraces then were often not a pleasant place to be for many. Perhaps some of you were never there. It was awful.

Let's be honest, there are *some* who will hide behind this idea of BLM in their words being a Marxist organisation etc. as an excuse for booing because of their own views. But racism in life, not just football, is abhorrent. Imagine being a black player playing for us, you take the knee and know how racist this world can be, and some twat boos it and you. **** me.

The whole thing is just symptomatic of the social media age. Only extreme views hold any sway. If you voted for 'leave' or don't like statues being torn down - then you're obviously a right wing racist. If you voted 'remain' and marched for BLM - then you must be some left wing, neo-liberal, snowflake.

I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of people who object to these gestures on political grounds have never bothered to follow a link to what BLM stands for and couldn't define what marxism or socialism is anyway.

It's a bit like the saying that not all leave voters are racist, but you can bet that all racists voted leave. The reverse is true for anti-racists. Some will be left wing militants no doubt.

But taking the extremes and politics out of it and racism is vile. Equality of opportunity is a basic human right. Just buy in to that message and ignore everything else. If you feel the 'taking the knee' is a good way of drawing attention to racism then applaud it. If you don't (and I have my issues with it) then just be quiet FFS. Nobody can distinguish your motives from those of a true racist

That's not what i said though was it, do you not think the asian community in Leicester aren't racist? Racism will always exist I'm afraid whislt cultural differences and social divides exist, but Britain has been world leading in combating racism, it's illegal here and although i'd never boo players taking the knee, i think it;s not about the gesture, but about the way it was delivered last summer.
