He seemed to be jogging so casually yet covering so much more ground than players in the background who looked to be putting in so much more effort!

Getty Images have got one of Jakupovic turning up so he has indeed signed on for the season.

 

Evans, Albrighton, Maddison and Perez the major absentees from the seniors - no Soumare or Daka either. Evans may still be injured, of course.

 

Odunze, Stolarczyk, Suengchitthawon, Flynn, Maswanhise, Nelson, Daley-Campbell and Wright among the U23s there.

 

No Hirst, Eppiah, Ghezzal, Muskwe or Clark with the seniors - likewise no Hughes nor Tavares - which probably tells a story about where their futures lie.

If the manager says you have a chance pre season for first team spot you’d be daft not to go back in your best shape possible. Fair play to the lad and hopefully plays well when given the chance. Be great to see another academy lad in the squad.

Agreed. Got a good feeling about him. Looks like he means business. I'm excited about him and Sowah about as much as I am the new signings. We could have a lot more depth to the squad than ever before.
