He’s taken more pens than those both mentioned tbf. Taken plenty for us.

He hardly ever makes clean contact with the ball, so possibly one of the worse players to be on pen duty. The only reason he's in the team is because he runs around and can press.

Disagree with this.  We have many despicable footballers who have given up but the Danny Ward level is a special category of incompetence out on its own.  Daka is close to joining this exclusive club. 

 

... And yet I'd still pick him ahead of Ayew.  Worst striker options we've ever had.

He is totally unsuited to English football. He’d look poor in League Two. Another recruitment masterclass. And just epitomises the whole downward spiral we’re stuck in. Not only is he totally useless but we pay him so much that no one else takes him so we’re stuck with him for the entire duration of his contract.

Rumours are he was on £7k a week at Salzburg and X10 that here. I'm pretty sure his next contract will a lot closer to £7k than what our mugs paid him. Nice guy though.

I thought JV might have been substituted towards the end of the game as he was obviously shattered. But no. If fit, it looks like he'll play every minute of every game. 

Can't see them playing together, either. PD would probably have gone for the same cross for the goal. 

The only way I can see him starting is if he changes his game. Is that a good idea? 

If memory serves, didn't he play up front with Haaland? Did anyone see them playing together? If so, what was PD's position? That might suggest how we play him with JV.
