These people saying he is left wing only, yes he has played there more but he is young enough and actually played enough on the right to adapt, he would be a great signing. Barnes, Vardy Odoi looks great to me

Unless we’ve suddenly found some cash down the back of the sofa, there’s not a hope in hell we could afford this, surely?

Going through different sources and numbers, his wages seem to be in the range of 100-180k. I don't know how willing he'd be to take a pay cut to something more manageable for us in exchange for basically getting all the gametime he wants

The article says Chelsea will only be prepared to sell if they sign Kounde as a replacement. Kounde is a centre back though...... 🤔

Squad balancing? And they apparently pulled out of that deal early on today.

Short memory!

Oh don't get me wrong he wasn't always great but then again looking at the players we have at the minute in wide areas there's still a lot of room for improvement with them as well....not sure whats happened to Barnes lately.

lol he’s never done anything! Overhyped doesn’t do it justice.

Yeah,  but he is from Chelsea so he must be amazing…

..right?

I’ll probably get pelters for this but I don’t see him being a huge improvement on Gray.

His end product is probably slightly better but he has never looked like he can really impose himself on a game consistently. There are flashes of brilliance but if the alternatives weren’t so underwhelming I don’t think people would be as keen.

He is 20 though so for his age he's done pretty well and the Bayern and Dortmund scouts clearly see something.

More and more I think about it we should have just kept Demarai Gray or bought him back for £1.8 mill......no one mentioned is any better than Demmy

Yeah I can just picture the club doing one of those reveal videos,  then Demarai Gray pops his head out. The melt down.lol

Doesn't take a lot to get people excited this close to the end of the window.

There is no way we'd pay what he or Chelsea want so this is a non starter for me on a permanent basis. Loan? Maybe, but not sure they'll be up for that.

He can do both, but his output is much better on the left, since he is right footed and wants to cut inside (rather like Lookman)

We make it a loan with obligation to buy for say 30-40m, moves the financials into next year, we agree to a buyback of around 50-60m and I could see Chelsea being interested

Reported in broadsheet press at the weekend as £120k pw, 5 year deal. May still be wrong of course.

His reported current salary would be higher than everyone at Leicester City except for Schmeichel and Vardy. That’s if we don’t give him any pay rise at all to move...

I think this would be a good move for everyone. He has talent and Rodgers will be able to get the best out of him. Think he has struggled to get ahead of other players at Chelsea, so it’s worth a shot.
