And he can pass the ball - sideways

He also needs two defensive midfielders in front of him so that he is not exposed at club or international level

Anyone see De Gea go ballistic when Vardy scored? Seemed to lose his mind, was kicking the advertising boards like a mad

The save from Tielemans shot was an absolute worldie, very good keeper

Really?

He's been one of the worst keepers in the league for the last 2 years.

Schmeichel  or De Gea?

I'd take Kasper every single day.

Thats a big shout. As a keeper I rate him massively.

What has he done that makes you say he's been one of the worst in the league for 2 years?

The last 18 months.

Going from golden boy to having Dean Henderson challenge him for number 1.

He's always got a mistake waiting to happen.

So hot and cold.

So many positives to take from that today. But it was a cracking performance.

One major observation I took from today was Evans, I was intrigued as to why he makes such a difference, and he really does.

He keeps the entire back line in check, not just out of possession but with the ball too, those moments when he has the ball at his feet, he rarely just passes blind, he recycles possession really well, and it instils a sense of calmness to the back four.

He also directs the play test well, I noticed that he was constantly telling Cags, Dan and Timmy when to go, where to position themselves and when in possession where to make the next pass, constantly talking and keeping the shape.

We conceded a couple yes, but even manure in this state will punish anyone who presents them with clear opportunities, so they can be forgiven for that.

Besides that, that was as strong a United side as they could have put out, and I though we were unlucky not to come off with 6 goals today. Excellent performance, and it really does show just how good Johnny Evans is.

It said it all that he was given a fantastic standing ovation from the crowd when he came off the pitch. It also looked like he got a bit emotional when it happened, which I think is great! He deserved that adulation because we all know how good he is.

He did actually make a mistake for that second goal, but he also saved our bacon so many times in the same game. It's also notable that the entire team looks that much more confident when he plays.

A win's a win but it's made so much better by all the Utd fans who live trying to excuse this

I can't find the MOTD thread...Micah Richards is a fvcking unit!

Talked about us complimentary, but mainly put Utd down.

He can do what he likes, I ain't arguing lol

His hairline alone is a ****ing unit.

Finally I just want to put on the record that I thought that the refereeing was absolutely shocking today. There’s always some smart arse who says we only complain about referees when we lose, well we won today despite Pawson and his assistants’ best efforts. Seemed to actively go out of his way not to book United players even in the most obvious circumstances.

How Matic came off the pitch without a card was staggering.

Manchester United came onto the pitch today before the post horn gallop - which felt a bit off to me.  Did anyone else notice that motd edited it to make it look like they came out after us?

Fvck em.

Got what they deserved then. Same as Chelsea showing up to a cup final in tracksuits.
