probably already mentioned but "had every right to go down there" when some diving toad has fooled the ref into giving a pen/free kick after the slightest of touches.

Oh yes those wide open spaces and hallowed turf

Really frustates me when it's used. Especially in comparison to some PL pitches 😂

The lad behind me in the East Stand commentates during the game almost exclusively in cliché.

'switch it.'

'they're first to the spare ball'

'it's a game of two halves'

I can't work out if I hate it or love it but I can only stand 90 minutes a week. Any more and I want to gouge his eyes out.

Top top player

Stop ****ing irritating because people don't bother to mark the gap between the two words. It's always said like 'Toptop'.

You can get away with a defensive error in the championship but in the Premier league those errors will get punished 100% of the time without fail

Saying "football match" or "football club" as opposed to just "match" or "club"

Gary weaver (who may aswell be a cliche) the script-reading ****

Commentators that insist on referring to certain players by both names, such as...

Dele Alli

Dani Alves

Solly March

I grew up thinking that Gordon-Smith was a double barrel surname.

And yet others have achieved first name only status such as Trent. He's not Prince or Madonna, ffs.

Tottenham are a big club

They are tbf, the one that gets me is West Ham being seen as a similar sized club to Newcastle, Everton and spurs etc despite having a less impressive trophy cabinet than ourselves.
