I expect to pay more taxes but be told that somehow I am paying less. I expect the very rich to get off scot free and those that need the money most will pay for it.

Tax cuts for airlines, wineries and bankers. National insurance increases and universal credit cuts for the young, low-paid and vulnerable, is what I expect...Oh.

All I heard was how everything is going to be cut.

How is this going to be paid for?

I just expect any chancellor to make fiscal decisions that they genuinely think will benefit the economy and the country and ultimately the well being of us who.live here. Even if sometimes those decisions are unpopular.

But, obvs, nowadays, Budgets are just political broadcasts and designed to impress voters.

Fuvk all and as above, fuvk all is what we got. Bullshit selling bollox like a used car salesman selling 2001 shite vehicles as if they were something we haven't seen before. Not fooled. All budgets seem to do is move the money around various departments depending on various departments profile at the time. Always gonna be the NHS, Police, Education, etc. but these departments never see any improvement in services or productivity/success.

Will it allow for the police/courts/nhs to function as it should?

No.

Why?

Because it doesnt go anywhere near to cover up the danage caused by the Cons over the last 11 years.

Also worth noting that this budget increases tax for the highest amount in years yet one paper is claiming it as a tax cut....

Also NI has not increased by 1.25%. Its increased by 1.25 points.

It has gone up by over 10%.

It has increased from 12% to 13.25%.

This will apply to us as employees and also to small businesses as employers....

Smoke and mirrors...

I read an article earlier that stated that IF average earnings had followed historic trends, then salaries since the 2008 financial crisis would have been 40% higher than they are today.

It's no wonder that there is a "cost of living" crisis.  House prices and living costs have continued to rise and salaries have stagnated to a chronic degree.

i genuinely don't know how people on lower than average earnings cope.

Also Rishi helping his banker mates out and cut their tax isn’t a surprise. Whilst overall the big banks will feel it, his mates with their niche little funds will be loving it

Rishi and Boris could have taken a shit on Captain Tom’s porridge and the Daillt Express would have spun it as something positive for the Conservative Party. It really is a vile rag.

Did they put the tax up on fags? Struck me how I had to do a price increase for all the cigarettes today - but I wasn’t quite sure if it was for the tax or general greed of the corporate overlords 😂

No matter what the budget is, we’re pretty screwed lads 😆
