How did we manage to finish a point behind these and beat them in a cup final last year the gulf in class was embarrassingĀ

Shows that we do have it in us, but the mentality of the team has turned to mush this season. Rodgers seems incapable of addressing it.

So what we blaming…sorry scapegoating (that’s what you happy flappers call it isn’t it?)Ā that on?

Ā

The early kick off?

Ā

The refereeing?

Ā

Erm…The international break? (Although I thought that worked the other way round, with the ā€œinternational break not coming at a better timeā€Ā :dunno:Ā but I’m scraping the barrel here, apologies).

Ā

Take your pick.

Chelsea! They didn’t let us score but kept on trying to score. SpoilsportsĀ :teehee:

The corner goal also came only 12 mins in. We keep giving away these soft early goals.

Ā

Only Newcastle have let in more goals than us this season and we have also conceded the most from corners (20) on the league over the last 12 months.

Abysmal, set up defensively and yet we’re woefully bad at defending! Too passive and timid, clumsy and lacking in ideas. Not being able to keep a clean sheet is always a recipe for disaster.

There was a 'set up?

To be honest bring on the relegation battle. At least we might start fighting then.

That's the problem. I don't think we will, unless by some miracle we get someone in that will put a few boots up arses.

Ā

That Man Utd. game bought Brendan some breathing space. Take it out of the equation and it's now been almost a calendar year since we actually played convincingly for 90 mins in a league game.Ā :dunno:

We’ve lost everything we were good at and much of it is down to Rodgers messing around with a back five the last 12-18 months.

You and the back 5.

Ā

It doesn't matter if you play 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 at the back. If you can't motivate your squad of players you're not going to get a tune out of them.

Ā

This team has shown consistently over the past few months that they lack intensity, aren't willing to put in the hard yards and won't win a 50/50.Ā

Ā

It's so much more about the mental side of the game than formations. I can't be arsed to look at the stats but I'm sure we've actually won more points recently with a back 5.

What did kasper say in an interview/ quote that posters were referring to?

He doesn’t want to finish his career at Leicester. Given he’s 35/36 that implies he wants to leave soonĀ

Listen, I said the other week ā€œwe’re going through the motionsā€ and I’m going round in circles with what I’m saying, I’m boring myself let alone everyone else.

Ā

Not much else to say on today.

Ā

One takeaway I do have and will raise is Lookman was literally the onlyĀ player who wanted to go forward, move forward, obviously too positive for Rodgers and with that in mind he gets subbed at half timeĀ :appl::crylaugh:Ā

First half was men against babies and 2nd half was men against boys. Completely outclassed in everything.

Ā

Really hard to watch this team at the moment. Feels like change is needed.

I reckon this is the game where we willĀ absolutely smack someone into the middle of next week. Only to resume mediocrity the week after, in true frustrating Leicester fashion.

Ā

4-0 win.Ā

Ā

Nailed it!

Setting up 3-4-3 against the best in the business at it was a terrible decision.

Ā

At the moment we have no identity. Are we possession based ? Are we a counter attacking team ? Are we a high pressing team ? Because we are not doing any of it

Ā

We are nothing. Just seemingly going through the motions without a clear plan. When Rodgers first came in, it was like a breath of fresh air after Puel, high pressing, high intensity, possession with a purpose was one of his buzz words at the time. Slowly over nearly 3 years, this has gone.

Ā

Im not sure if it needs a new voice to freshen it up. It’s gone so stale though. He needs to stop tinkering systems, stick to a back 4 and try and get that hunger backĀ

I've agreed with you week after week btw ever since the West Brom home game and Rodgers pathetic outburst with the water bottles.Ā

Ā

The only positive after today is that he's one step closer to fvcking off to United.Ā

Ā

The football is putrid yet he stands like the messiah, I dislike him more than I ever did Puel

Even if we were at the top of our game today we would’ve lost. They’re a brilliant side and they wanted it more than us.Ā
Ā

But we were terrible. Only troubled Mendy from distance. Didn’t win any second balls. Didn’t press, couldn’t put anything together. We seemed scared to have a go. The subs made little impact and it was still cautious then even coming out 2-0 down. What else did we have to lose?Ā
Ā

We were never gonna catch them out playing balls over the top. When they cleared it we had no one to pick the ball up because the midfield were too deep. We just seemed to invite pressure on ourselves throughout the game. We didn’t get any of the bounce. We dragged our best player on the day at half time. A poor day at the office all round. A helping hand in each of their goals with absolute shoddy defending. We also set up with three centre halves against a team that didn’t have a striker on the pitch.Ā
Ā

Chilwell was brilliant today and as I said when he left we would miss him. It’s a shame that he’s lost that bit of class since moving to Chelsea.Ā

Better players who are also motivated. 50/50s have so much to do with the latter. We have zero.

Would you be motivated playing Rodgers shite tactics.Ā

Ā

League winners without the ball Rodgers relegation trying to play keep ball.

Ā

Lmfao we cant defend but try playing it around at the back like we can.
