Know we wouldn’t be able to sustain that early bit of pressure….

Which, to be frank, consisted of a lot of running around without necessarily affecting their passing or play.

Once we conceded from yet another corner (for seemingly the zillionth time), it was effectively curtains. :(

Even if we were at the top of our game today we would’ve lost. They’re a brilliant side and they wanted it more than us.

But we were terrible. Only troubled Mendy from distance. Didn’t win any second balls. Didn’t press, couldn’t put anything together. We seemed scared to have a go. The subs made little impact and it was still cautious then even coming out 2-0 down. What else did we have to lose?

We were never gonna catch them out playing balls over the top. When they cleared it we had no one to pick the ball up because the midfield were too deep. We just seemed to invite pressure on ourselves throughout the game. We didn’t get any of the bounce. We dragged our best player on the day at half time. A poor day at the office all round. A helping hand in each of their goals with absolute shoddy defending.

Off to clichè jail you go!

Chelsea are a brilliantly coached, motivated and confident team.

Everything we’re not.

Chelsea were good today but we were absolutely dreadful. Not having a shot for an hour is beyond unacceptable. Had we lost that game 7-0 I don’t think we could have had too many complaints. And I suspect that had Chelsea really fancied it it might have ended up that way.

I think Barnes and Lookman are bench fodder now. When are these so called wingers going to realise they need to defend when out of possession. Every Chelsea player gets back when necessary..

Feels like we have dropped off a cliff, we are such a poor watch nowadays and defensively utter garbage. I’ll be happy to avoid a relegation scrap. We have so many poor players in the squad and good players who are not at it. That’s a recipe for mediocrity.

He should hes got it wrong except for the cup final since last January.

Right now I see a long hard winter and tears in spring if he Carrie's on with his shite tactics and game play.

They have either followed instructions or lost respect.

Arsenal..2 seasons on the trott.

This Chelsea debacle...

Not one Really Good game....

The Defence Coaching staff a total shambles...

With or without Tielemans, our midfield !!!...shit I aint got..any words for their total Lack of Spirit or fight....I

Not one 2nd ball won...I

I didnt mind the slow start, I actually thought that we would have problems.....

i am Not against selection...Bit we need both Defence & midfield to hold their own....

Barnes..Lookman, could work, but no Interface from midfield...

Kindergarten at corners...

Creche in midfield...

Players Not performing...until 40 minutes...

Rodgers has to turn it around before festiveseason...or

I just cant /wont defend the Management team....

We can lose against Chelsea...

But These 60 Minute tame performances, same mistakes...every game...

Brendan,!!!  Ffs get hold of this slide into the PL abyss of nothingness..

On the up side, used up a bad performance in a game we'd probably lose anyway. But time to stop mucking around with formations and return to what worked

I dont think Rodgers knows what works now.

Apparently first half Lookman was an 8 and Barnes was supposed to be up with Vardy. Clearly Barnes didn't get the memo. Seems like the players are not getting BR or are just ignoring him.

With the slipping match ratings we may as well declare Danny Ward our player of the season now.

Disappointing game, not even close to being any kind of a contest. It wasn't even entertaining as Chelsea found it so easy they didn't look that interested themselves. Top Brendan positive for the day was that the former Leicester City boys played well.

Well if that was the case, why not pick a number 8 and a striker instead of shoehorning in 2 wingers?

That was fvcking dreadful.

Nothing simple executed. Poor concentration, low confidence, distinct lack of desire, hunger, energy. Nothing good about today and every player can come away feeling like shite and have nothing complimentary said about them.

Sometimes I don't mind losing if a team remains competitive even when losing. Its performances like today where its shit because the players gave up. They were beaten mentally before the game I think.

Gotta get out of this rut somehow. Need to regain confidence.

men against boys, just like the Arsenal game, Rodgers got the tactics all wrong from the start, did nothing about it before half time, basically we got what we deserved, earliest pre xmas stuffing ever

We cannot afford to carry anybody , bar perhaps Vardy , who will not defend.

Good, I want him to show some anger because that performance warrants it.
