Don’t get this stick Lookman is getting. He showed tremendous skill at times, yes he lost the ball on a couple of occasions but a lot more times he did something good with the ball in tight areas.

Think the lad has been fairy solid for us this season. Defo do not want to see Perez out there again especially as he has showed recently how effect he can be in the middle.

Really good game from us and I enjoyed how we controlled it second half, we knew we had it won and kept them at arms length and still created some great chances!

Early days but I hope BR sticks with this.

Also a shoutout to Maddison! He looked physically so much stronger and quicker! Was great to see him playing today! This boy will be amazing for us if he can stay away from injuries.

Anyone else falling in love with Daka?

He’s comes across so well in interviews, obviously full of optimism and is always happy. To top it off, he’s playing well and knows where the net is. Some things he needs to work on, but I think he’ll be a good signing.

Lookman is decent, but does seem to ball watch on occasions, especially when the opposition is attacking. But he’s definitely an option to have.

Maddison played exactly how we need him to - skill and always wanting the ball, with Tielemens out, he needs to be the creative spark in the middle to pull the strings. This is what he did brilliantly yesterday. Maybe we’re seeing the old Maddison back. Big test will be Watford for him.

Thought they contributed well to an entertaining match!

Fair enough. People see things differently. Bar the penalty and dealing with pass backs I thought Kasper had about as much as Conrad Logan when he was on the bench.

No I think you were right Legia performed as expected, it was a good win for us, and I'm happy about that but, let's not get carried away

The video of them booting a copper in the head several times states their intent clearly. We are far, far too soft. Desperate to come across with this family friendly nonsense and gentle policing approach.

The problem is police in this country have spent so long creating a narrative and convincing themselves that English fans are the worst in the world that they actually believe it, despite all evidence showing that we're some of the best behaved in Europe. Therefore they're caught completely off guard when actual nutters turn up on our shores.

The naivety is astonishing. Even half an hour of research would give you a good indication of the tactics Ultras abroad use when they fancy some pyro, violence or general chaos.

I can’t see it I’m afraid. He shows very sporadic flashes of occasional quality. But he is largely ineffective and rarely produces anything. At this moment in time Albrighton a still our best right sided player.

I disagree with this.

We’re simply not a heavy handed force nationwide, despite what people think and are led to believe by the media.

And the moment a British cop decides to use force, they’re scrutinised to the point of losing their job.

If the British police received more backing from the public then these large scale incidents would be handled much better, but unfortunately we don’t, so it’s often a mess and comes across as lacking in organisation and tactics.

We did all the work in the first half and saw it out really comfortably in the second. Needed a win, and got it. Job done.

Agree re Lookman defensively. I was sat on his side first half and the amount he switches off is pretty unforgivable really. Shocked that no player pulled him up on it really, we’re possibly too nice to each other in that regard.

Amartey did well being as he was called upon last minute and thought Maddison looked threatening. KDH had a nice cameo too.

Time to build some momentum now and back it up with a win on Sunday.

I enjoyed that we looked much better but they looked very ordinary.

Hopefully those performances will boost some confidence in the players.

Nightmare getting there though. Left Coalville in loads of time to meet my mates from work in the Parcel Yard for a pint. Usually park in Dover Street but decided to get there going under the underpass and Welford Road, Regent Road. Bad Choice!

Managed to just dive into Newarke St before Welford Rd was totally closed, decided against walking down Belvoir St as it looked carnage. Walked up New Walk to meet two police bike riders coming up the pavement off Tigers Way.

Took an Uber from the Parcel Yard but got out and walked from before the Tigers due to traffic gridlock.

1100 football fans basically caused traffic chaos in the city centre. Not exactly sure the Tigers are going to be too keen as being used as a ticket collection point again.

UFS should just do tifos in the corner.

**** the rest of the stand, let them be bland, boring and passionless.

Agree... what is that tifo about?  A train? The club just in in the groove.  It's like you dad buying you disco clothes.

I was sat in B3 last night and we were literally surrounded on all four sides by Legia fans, not just poles supporting a polish team, a couple of them had Legia scarves on (not the half/half ones) and the 2 lads next to me had Legia shirts on under their jackets.

They were quite sound tbf and explained their best/worst players (apparently their number 5 was signed from Forest and is dogshite lol) but just surprised so many of them got in wearing what they were as I could see it plain as day.

A lot of swearing at the linesman as well from the front rows which was terrible, so next game I'm moving to G2, I've heard its quite nice in there.

Wasn't any better than recent performances.....Helped by the standard of opposition.

I think a PL keeper saves does better for all of the goals, maybe not for Daka's as he took it so early.

The defensive structure of the side is still far too worrying.

I'll say it again, I don't think the defence is the major issue. It's how poor we are from the front.

Barnes/Lookman are pretty much bystanders and when their press is bypassed they refuse to track back.

You've then got Soumare unsure whether he should follow the wing back or not, as Lookman has just let him go.

....these are issues that should be easy to address or do we have to live with it due to not having the right personnel!!!

You cannot continue to stipulate you are working hard in training to improve our performances and fail to put right such a glaring problem. Either the problem has not been seen, or we are reluctant to force the wide players into working in a way that requires them to continually readjust and show more awareness.
