Never a big fan of soup and a roll as a starter - too filling if you have got a massive dinner ahead.

Quite like a prawn cocktail. Maybe do some canapés / blinis with smoked salmon.

For the main course, don’t forget the cauliflower cheese.

Why spoil a delicious cauliflower by putting cheese on it? Cheese should be nowhere near a roast dinner.

You have to understand I hate cheese!

11am - start drinking

Midday - continue drinking

Sometime later - food appears, made better with a load of red Chateaux De Plonk

Even later - drink until cold food appears before the resumption of drinking

So you're saying someone has to cook this food stuff?

Amateur. Why so late?

Won't be up till 10:55 and I'll need to do the whole toilet stuff. After all these years I still haven't perfected brushing my teeth and drinking - could just gargle with tequila tho, I guess.

I’m worried people might now question my commitment to drinking. I ought to point out I bought £350’s worth yesterday and will be slamming it for a fortnight.

Nice. What have you got?

A fortnight though? lol

Three bottles of rum, two gin, two Pernod, bit of beer and a shitload of wines. Obviously, I’ll be needing to top up as I go along but it makes for a decent base.

I can only assume you haven’t had a good one.

Well that would make an ass out of u and me 🥺😂 and you’d be very wrong. It’s a glorified roast dinner that most people have every Sunday.

I do an exceptional roast every Sunday.

I've basically ruined Xmas Dinner because I spoil us every weekend.

I even regularly make pigs in blankets throughout the year.

Sometimes I'll do red cabbage, sometimes I'll do cauliflower cheese.

For Xmas Dinner, I do everything!

We only have turkey once a year though. Not because we don't like it, just because it's bloody expensive.

My favourite meal of the year is on Easter Sunday, got to be a whole leg of lamb!

It's a bit of a piss take really.

We went Xmas food shopping this morning and the cheapest Turkey was £15 and that was just a crown.

It's only me and my son that eat it as the wife and daughter are veggie and I just couldn't bring myself to pay £15 for a bit of turkey, so I opted for a £3.99 medium chicken instead.

My fat little fvck lad eats so quickly that I doubt he'll know the difference anyway.

You need to get yourself a Tesco Clubcard lol

Lamb done well really is the king of the roast dinner. Nothing touches it, not even beef.

There's 5 of us in our house, only 3 of them don't like lamb, but I love it. Easily the best roast.

I'll usually rotate between chicken, beef and pork.

Sometimes have a bit of gammon too.

I do like turkey done properly though.

And a nice piece of beef, very pink in the middle 😋
