Oh God, that's the one.

Found a nice sounding recipe that involves putting bacon in it. Most savoury dishes would benefit from a bit of bacon, I find

I watched Jamie Oliver cooking one earlier with chorizo, fennel seeds and pears. Sounded and looked lovely, and it would be great to have a Spanish ingredient on the Christmas dinner table. I thought I might even do both that one and Tom's recipe, half and half. It wasn't even on my menu 24 hours ago, now I'm obsessed with finding a fvcking red cabbage lol

Day 2 begins with some Marshmallow Laser Quest

I was undecided about that.

Get yourself some Beavertown stuff.

And the Brewdog Triple Hazy.

My local Sainsburys is doing 15 cans of Heineken for 9 quid, so I'm on that till Xmas day!

All the best brews seem to have bloody lactose in them - which is an out for me.

Wander Beyond's Half Moon is my absolute favourite, but they're OOS at the moment.

I’m gonna do my red cabbage on Christmas eve and then re heat on Christmas day. No dramas

Red cabbage is fantastic reheated. Some dishes taste better the next day (e.g. Lasagne).

I love red cabbage, at least made to our German family tradition with fat bacon and apples (and sugar obv).

Just written our shopping list, the main event will be pretty much as I said on the first page of this thread...

Cider roast turkey

Garlic and rosemary roast potatoes, cooked in goose fat

Root veg mash

Brussels with pancetta

Red wine braised red cabbage with walnuts

Cauliflower cheese

Broccoli

Honey roasted chantenay carrots

Sage and onion sausage meat stuffing

Pigs in blankets

Yorkshire pudding

Cider gravy, made from the turkey juices

Cranberry sauce.

For breakfast, we'll be having bucks fizz, toasted English muffins, topped with fried parma ham and poached eggs.

Still debating over desserts.

Not bothering with a starter lol

Respect. Looks v similar to mine! Although I'll skip the mash and have it Xmas eve with some lovely beef. I love Xmas morning in the kitchen with family floating about. Good Times x

Who (other than me) has the traditional pork pie for Christmas day breakfast?

Wtf 😳

Interesting use of the word ‘traditional’, btw.

Chocolate for me - glass of bubbles and a family bar Dairy Milk.
