It’s definitely traditional, I’ve never had a Christmas without it.

Haha - I stand corrected.

Certainly didn’t happen in my part of Leicestershire!

Same here. Nothing like a decent pork pie with some cheese and pickled onions for breakfast.

Always tickles my brain when things like this that seem so normal for some are beyond comprehension for others. Pork pie for breakfast is just the thing for Christmas, it wouldn't be Christmas without it to us. lol

About 13 years ago, we had some friends from Edinburgh stop down over Christmas with us. They were very taken aback by it 😂

Now they order one every year from somewhere in Melton.

In similar regards, I try to get hold of square sausages and potato scones for a regular full Scottish   breakfast, as it reminds us of the good times we had up there.

I need to know if @FoxesDebhas managed to find a red cabbage yet.

The suspense is killing me 🤞

I've just Google translated it, apparently, once in the supermercado, you need to ask for "repollo rojo" lol

No. I've been to Lidl, Mercadona, and two English shops today and nothing. I'm thinking of going to the market tomorrow morning, surely I'll get one there? I'm beginning to wish you'd never mentioned the bloody stuff! lol

@tom27111is once again involved in a thread that is vital reading. I hope when you find said cabbage you use every club card point going, whilst selling a car at the same time.

Prawns yes and camembert yes, but never had them together? At least I have both of those in, which is more than can be said for the red

cabbage!

Sorry I should have said, olives for dipping in Camembert. All served with cocktail sticks for just nibbling.

Camembert stinks out your house, vile stuff.

I bloody love camembert. It'll be the centrepiece of my way over over the top cheeseboard at about 8pm on Saturday.

Loads of different cheeses, chutneys, crackers, crusty bread, celery, tomatoes, salami...

Oh man, that's better than the turkey.

All washed down with a large serving of Port.

Just picked up the turkey.

It's a 16 pounder!

Think I might have overdone it this year lol

Just think of the leftovers with all the lovely braised red cabbage lol

We got ours today too, and we're glad we waited for the supermarket to get them in rather than buy from the English shops. The English were charging around €10 a kilo, we paid €12.40 for our 4.5 kilo one :)

Well the curry lamb and roti will be shelved to boxing day likely.

Typical Roast chicken dinner, with desserts and snacks galore. Baked some double chocolate chip macademia  nut cookies today and they are damn good.

Wouldn't mind just showing up to some of your houses to eat instead lol

Took this pic as my wife drove us home from a wedding reception 2 weeks ago. CN Tower was lit up in xmas colours

Food shopping all done. That was stressful.

It appears that cauliflower is as scarce in the UK as red cabbage is in Spain!

The cheeseboard is going to be spectacular!

Shit. I forgot Port :S
