Does anyone really believe that proof of jabs will be checked with 10 minutes to kick off with 25,000 fans all trying to get in within a 10 minutes window?

Not going to happen.

I've been asked for it once (ironically the only time I forgot to download the damned thing). Flashed an old one in my downloads at them and they waved me through.

At my gate on Sunday they seemed to just be checking people who were going out of their way to show it voluntarily. The rest of us just walked through.

The earlier you are the more likely you are to be checked is my experience.

One recent game I was the whole length of the East Stand from my G2 turnstile with about 25 mins to go and it hardly moved for about 10 mins as you could see then checking everyone then suddenly it started to shift and we were inside with 5 mins to go and no checking was happening.

Yes, that happened the one time I got caught up in a queue. It was about 25 mins to KO and queues were massive, so they stopped checking people and let everyone in. So if you got there 15 mins before KO, the queue cleared, I just timed it wrong.

I doubt they could have made that any more confusing if they tried. The site is set up kind of like you are "buying" the pre confirmation. Had to add it to my "basket" and then check out!

Don’t really see the point of fill out a form if you’ve got your pass you’ll get in

I think it's so people can't turn around and say they want a refund for non-admitance because they didn't know.

It's a joke.

Its doomed for failure.

No ones waiting around to have their checks done 10 minutes before kick off

I turned up for one game with 5 minutes to go and got in straight away for kick off. Think it depends what staff are on and if they care enough to check. Having said that they sound like it’s going to be stricter now so who knows what the queues will be like going forward.

That's because everyone else is turning up 45 minutes early.

It’s exactly for this reason the club is covering their own back and abiding by what’s asked of them

It’s worked ok at other events I’ve been to, they had people scanning/checking the Covid pass then you went and got your ticket scanned to let you into the event

We are football fans.

We are unique!

Even if it can be done and i don't think its impossible logistically the people who run the non-football part of the club, match day managers or whatever they are called, are so consistently useless that I don't think it will ever be done right. This mob can't even get selling pies and hot dogs right.

So once you have filled out the plan B forms how do you prove you have done it? One account holder linked to me doesn't always go with us. Surely you wont have to show them an email with the self certification number on it and then show them your QR code. With me and technology I will be there 20 minutes myself doing that!!!

You won't need to show that, it's just accepting the updated T&C's, so if you're denied entry because you haven't got a certificate or negative test result, you can't claim you didn't know anything about it.

So surely if you don't fill it in you can claim you knew nothing about it? CONFUSED .COM

I think we all have to sign a form, also agreeing to:

1.  Be at your seat before kick off.

2.  Cannot leave the game before it's finished.

3.  You must cheer on the team at all appropriate moments.

4.  You must not boo a player, before he has even touched the ball.

And lots of other rules that we can invent ...

No then you are just claiming stupidity.

They send it- you complete it-

they have a record of it-

go to the games with your covid pass or LFT ready to show the steward-

stewards will start panicking and get all confused when its 15 minutes to kick off and fans are being abusive and everyone walks in when no one can be @rsed!!!

At Watford they encouraged people to turn up early by offering deals on food and drink but most people weren’t keen on that idea as the food is pretty average !

And was still expensive .

In theory, this is a great idea. Apart from causing high levels of congestion on the concourse, and everyone being in proximity to each other for much longer.

Unfortunately, also impractical at our place.

A) you'd need to be there at least 3 hours early to be served by ko

B) they'd run out of stuff after an hour.

I really don't see the point in them doing this, unless they are going to block entry to season tickets / supporter numbers who haven't filled in the declaration

Which in my case means I'm screwed, because the supporter number on my season ticket is linked to somebody else as it was purchased as a gift for me this year
