So surely if you don't fill it in you can claim you knew nothing about it? CONFUSED .COM

You could but they will argue it is your responsibilty to read correspondance from the club.  It is possible that the club will effectively cancel your ticket if you don't complte the form.

The form has been filled in and an email received so I'm not concerned. Just cant see how it will work Thursday night (assuming the game is still on) as 99% of people would have bought their tickets before this announcement so if they only go once in a while they simply wont bother.

I am guessing that in this occasion they will be let in,  but the club will have to be seen to be doing their level best to comply with what is now, or very soon will be, the law.

So will security really deny entry to a fan without an NHS Covid Pass? Don't think that has happened so far, that I'm aware.

Unfortunately from tomorrow if you can’t prove your Covid Status by either Covid Passport or that of a recent Negative LFT within 24-48 hours then the club have the right to refuse admission to the ground, the club are only following covid policies passed down by the Premier League.

Exactly so far it’s EPL it’s getting bad for healthcare too where Mandatory Vaccination is coming in next year whether we like it or not and unfortunately for some of my colleagues who refuse to get vaccinated are looking likely to lose their job !

I really don't see the point in them doing this, unless they are going to block entry to season tickets / supporter numbers who haven't filled in the declaration

Which in my case means I'm screwed, because the supporter number on my season ticket is linked to somebody else as it was purchased as a gift for me this year

This is the same predicament as a hypothetical situation I have just thought up. Giving your season ticket to a mate for a game here and there when you can’t go is very common - so on entry do they ensure that the name on the ticket corresponds to the name on the Covid pass?

My one experience of this is that all they do is glance at your Covid pass. I don’t think they check names correspond or even that season tickets have a completed self declaration. Am I correct?

If theyvwant to ensure self declaration are completed all they need to do is cancel your ticket on their turnstile entry system,  your ticket would then not allow you in.

I think you should ignore your previous experience,  covid passports are now a legal requirement for entry,  so the club need to be seen to be doing all they can to ensure compliance or they run the risk of losing their safety certificate.  Doubt though that will include checking identity.

Yes, they didn't check it against the ticket when piloting it earlier in the year.

While against the rules, season tickets sharing within a family is fairly widespread.

What I would advise is downloading the Covid pass as a pdf to the phone. Reception on my network is very slow at matches!

How to they cater for exemptions with this? And I assume negative lateral flow is so easy to rig that it renders this absolutely pointless for those unvaccinated that still want to go to the football but stick two fingers up to the establishment. Always found it a stupid loophole, but granted it would be difficult to administer it any more robustly in such numbers.

I believe that there is a fine if caught falsely reporting an LFT.

It's a hassle, but it is for the safety of everyone at the match. It is better than reduced capacity or no crowds, and there is real risk of that if people take the piss over the new rules.

Not sure any of the security at our ground or any other gets paid enough to get in to an altercation with someone coming in to the ground without the correct paperwork.

Family simple to inactivate their ticket for future matches though.

How would anyone ever get fined for falsely reported an LFT? Impossible to prove.

The stewards at our place have enough to deal with regarding the new ticket system !

Medical exemptions can get a certificate to that effect, they show that instead.

So they want you to do that declaration form and show the app. What’s all that about?!

I don't get the form. I haven't actually looked at it yet lol but why fill in a form if you've got a Covid pass anyway? If I get asked for my proof of vaccination then I'll show it, what's the form do?

What I can make out and from what people are saying on here is the form has your season ticket/membership/supporter number on it. Going forward potentially your season ticket or the ticket you bought with that membership number could be blocked, denying you access into the stadium. I think that's right anyway and filling out the form takes 2 minutes so not worth the hassle of not doing it.

Been hot in the loos near G2 most games.

Seems like 50% don't even bother washing their hands, both before and after covid. They need to upgrade the toilets as part of the concourse revamp, not enough dryers or space.
