Might depend if your phone fits into the scanner, or the size of the QR code image on your phone. I've scanned the QR code on the ticket to a QR reader and saved it, with mixed results. 

 

I always take a printed off ticket with me just in case!

What happened to Evans? He's gone off injured so many times they've merged into one but I'm sure the last time he went off they said it wasn't as bad as feared and he might be ok for next game (which was then postponed) lol Now he's out until April.

Watford Pre-Match Press Conference

 

Anybody back?

“No. None of the players who have been out will be back for the weekend.”

 

Vardy?

“It could be up to eight weeks, yes. It’s the higher end of his hamstring, so you’re looking into March. He doesn’t need an operation, that was the only good news.”

 

Evans and Soyuncu?

“Jonny Evans has just had an operation so he will be April. He’s needed that on his hamstring. Soyuncu you’re looking towards Burnley, that’s good news. Jonny not so good.”

 

Bertrand?

“No, Ryan Bertrand is still not ready, he’s got an issue with his meniscus. He’s got a specialist looking at that.”

 

Justin?

“JJ will be playing in an Under-23 game tomorrow, and then we’ll look at it going into next week. That will be a huge boost to get him back. But we have to be careful.”

 

Daka?

“We’re looking towards Burnley for Daka.”

 

Centre-back on loan?

“It’s certainly something we need to look at. The players who have been filling in are away at AFCON, so it doesn’t give us a lot of cover. The club are working hard to see what we can do. There’s not an endless pot of money.”

 

Deal possible?

“The players we will look at, January is a difficult market but certainly for centre-halves, it’s a key position for any team. In order to be consistent, your two centre-halves are critical for you. Our results have been inconsistent and we’ve had lots of changes in our defensive structure. There is time, but it’s more pressing for us. Sometimes you have to compromise to get the type for your team. But we know we get guys back at the beginning of February.”

 

Games rescheduled for this month?

“I don’t want to keep repeating the same message. I didn’t think it was right but I don’t want to keep whining and moaning. It’s something that I feel will be a difficult challenge for lots of teams. January as a month was an opportunity to allow clubs to recover, because players have had Covid. They could have had a chance to get back fit and healthy then we can finish off the season with as many players fit as possible.”

 

FA Cup?

“It was such a memorable competition to win it for the first time, against such illustrious opponents as well, and with fans being there. It will connect us all, players, supporters, staff. It’s about winning it again. We go into the game tomorrow with the mindset of winning the competition again.”

Just a guess mate. Can’t really see it being anything else unless Hamza comes in for Soumare. I’d be surprised if Barnes was to start having not been involved for 3 weeks.

Thomas in a back 3/5 gives me nightmares. He cannot play in that formation (well, at least play well). Back 4 he is fantastic.

When was the last time Nelson played any football? Going to be hard for him to come straight in from the start and play the 90. We don't have much other options but if Benkovic is available then I could see him playing left side of a back 3. 

 

Might as well go as strong as we can and see what happens.

Under 23s haven't played a match for about a month now

Just no need to play a back 5, especially against Watford's second team. all it does is take away an extra attacking player and make us worse defensively. We coped against Liverpool with a makeshift back four.

Team really depends on our priorities. Not sure we can risk playing our strongest team with the upcoming schedule, as much as I'd like us to do well in the cup again.

Unfortunately you haven't taken into account the other injuries we will get before 3pm tomorrow

 

Vestergaard gives himself concussion getting out his car, so we have to go with Nelson and Nelson

 

Perez trips over and lands on Barnes, both players out, Fitzhugh and Maswanhise upfront for the shortest striker pairing ever

 

Just play the Under 23s against Watford, the Under 18s against Chelsea Under 23s, and a load of 12 year olds against Birmingham Under 18s :thumbup:
