No point risking Tielemans and Maddison in game like this now. Just go 90% under 23s Barnes and Perez who needs some minutes. Can't afford anyone else to miss Everton game. 

 

Brendan should be kicking up a much bigger fuss about the Everton game being rescheduled, even if it would make no difference.

Yes unless Soumare (illness) is a precursor to a batch of covid cases and a request to postpone the Everton match we should play a mostly u23 team for this now apart from anyone who needs game time.

Watford will probably fancy their chances but I'm guessing they will make a lot of changes too. Surely they will prioritise staying in the PL.

Whilst this is far from a great team it's not awful. It would look like the sort of team that would be battling relegation in the Premier League, which is the situation Watford find themselves in.

 

Ben Nelson is the big question mark, but let's all get behind him if he plays. There should be no pressure on his shoulders as these are extraordinary circumstances we find ourselves in.

 

The bigger worry for me are the league games this week, many of which will have even more U23's playing in them. I'd expect Kasey McAteer and Vontae Daley-Campbell to play this week at some point.

We cannot afford to play any of our influential players tomorrow. Tielemans and Maddison simply have to be protected. 

 

I did say this was going to be the most horrific side we've had no choice but to put out in our recent PL history 😂
