Simonb Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Lascelles can be half decent but his injury record is woeful. Id avoid in all honesty just someone else we'll be stuck with. 1 1

Was our number one priority apparently and then we get to the end of the window despite our strikers scoring once in a month and we are going to go with these pair until May? Relegated If it is, it’s 22/23 Jan again. We made 3 signings, not one being a goalie. Even though we were crying out for one. Similar story this time. Given the 9 to ayew when he really shouldn’t have been and then if we do not address the problem this window, we will go down as you say.
brookfox Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Only we could go into the transfer window desperate for a striker, and up with fewer at the club than we started with after Carranza and Evans left! 2
Muzzy_no7 Posted 2 February Posted 2 February So we are gonna get 3 in but none of them are a striker or LB😂😂😂😂😂🤦♂️ 2
kingfox Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Starting to think Mukasa could be the one who will be deployed as a striker. If you’re stuck to the loan market, then you’re severely limiting your options. Looking across the main leagues in Europe, the potential options for a loan striker are very underwhelming. Your just looking at a bunch of players who have hardly scored this season. La Liga - Sheraldo Becker 🤷♂️ Takuma Asano 🤷♂️ but they are probably better as wide players. Serie A - Best bet is probably a Udinese striker, but doubt they’d loan to us. Ligue 1 - Not many options apart from maybe a Lorient striker. Bundesliga - Samuel Essende 🤷♂️ while you have a cluster of youngsters not getting much game time. Outside of those - Sam Lammers(Twente), Cyle Larin(Feyenoord/Mallorca), Myron Boadu(PSV), Deniz Gul(Porto), Kelechi Iheanacho , some has-been from Turkey. If you’re looking at home, then Joel Piroe now seems unlikely, Chelsea seem to have zero interest in loaning out Marc Guiu, that just leaves you with Awoniyi or maybe being one of those clubs in the mix for Szmodics.

Guarantee you there'll be at least 3 or 4 similar who leave on loan today

Awoniyi or Szmodics are probably the only ones out of that lot you'd say then. Think Guiu has already played for Sunderland and Chelsea this season... 1

Oh yes 🤦♂️ Very much agree with Awoniyi and Szmodics, they are probably the two standouts who could be available, outside of those two, the potential options in the Bundesliga look more promising than the rest. 1

One that sprung to mind (who we should have got in the summer as part of the Hermansen deal) is Callum Marshall from West Ham, moved to 2 Bundesliga but not getting many games. They might terminate and send him out.... wishful thinking though.

Jazzy_Jeff Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Regarding a striker, I hope that we are waiting for some other deals to happen first that might present opportunities. It would be peak Leicester for us to be desperate for a striker during the window and only sign goalkeepers, defenders and midfielders! 1
AjcW Posted 2 February Posted 2 February @Ric Flair that young Chelsea striker you like is with USG too. Could be a late decision on him perhaps. 1
Turtle27 Posted 2 February Posted 2 February How we will have potentially gone all of January and won’t sign a Striker or LB 🤯
LCFCCKEANO Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Could go for Uche at Palace, has looked good off the bench but they are using Johnson up top whilst Nketiah and Mateta aren’t available. Another could be Osula from Newcastle for similar reasons, or that 18 year old Brentford brought in recently
Ryy Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Wish we could get Fofana from Chelsea but he’s going to Chelsea’s other team

Clarkey123 Posted 2 February Posted 2 February I thought Obi at Man U was supposed to be decent. Hasn’t had much of a sniff this season 1

kingpowerout Posted 2 February Posted 2 February I really hope there's a mystery striker deal that's being worked on...we're in all sorts of trouble if we have to see the season out with Ayew and Daka.

Hi Ric, I've been assessing the needs of the squad and I have decided it would not be sensible to spend money on a striker as we don't need strikers what we need is another Goalkeeper Thanks Jon Rudkin Edited 2 February by lcfcbluearmy 1
