There surely has to be a striker link.

I don't understand what they're doing, genuinely anyone will do!

I mean surely it can't be that hard to just get a loan for a up-and-coming striker somewhere...

What a way to sell it to the new manager. You’ve got Ayew and Daka upfront who don’t give a toss and gone in the summer, oh and an 18 year old lad with 2 senior appearances, but we’re not sure if he’s even a striker :appl: happy days

My worry is that if we don't get a manager in who can deal with big personalities such as Jordan Ayew, he will force his way into the team for the rest of the season. I don't think Andy King wanted to deal with the backlash of leaving him out on Saturday and disrupt whatever harmony he has been able to bring in the short time he was in charge. We all know what a moody, stroppy character he is, we need a manager who is bigger than Ayew to put him in his place.

Is he though? I’ve not seen much evidence of this alongside some of the other knobs currently at the club

This is exactly my point with Ayew vs Mukasa. The teenager from Man City is getting no play time.

We've essentially just signed a bench warmer to tick boxes.

Pretty sure there will be an agreed playing time otherwise it doesn't benefit Man City and the player, possibility there's fees involved if he doesn't meet those playing time targets. At the very least you alienate a club that you want to have a good relationship in terms of them loaning you the best young talent in the country. This is the way modern football works.

I thought this with Callum Doyle especially since our then manager had already worked with him.

But Doyle you could argue had more of a right to replace Justin than Mukasa vs senior international Ayew, so unfortunately it could be an even bleaker sight for the teenager.

It is very odd Daka is barely getting a minute. Before anyone starts I know he is not all that but even to give Ayew a rest for 20 mins? Maybe they are trying to force him out or there is appearance money to he paid.

Andy has to make a choice about his future.

Does he want to stay at Leicester?  What’s his ambition

Because not grasping the nettle and leaving the failures out (where he has replacement) is not going to look good, wherever & whatever he wants to do in Football, drop the diving, falling, lazy, set piece greedy charlatan

I for one am fed up seeing him on his arse on the ground with his arms in the air. I'm fed up seeing him lose every ball in the air. He provides nothing to the team and his place in the No9 shirt needs to be cut short. I'd rather play Vestergaard up front. At least we would have some aerial presence. It's painful to watch someone who adds nothing to the team.

Daka and Fatawu have been linked with a move to Saudi. Of course, their transfer window ends a lot later than today, so both might well move in the next week or two, not today.

I’m currently at the training ground to hopefully get some autographs of the players. Anyways a nice car pulled up to the security barrier with none other than Sullay KaiKai and his agent. He has been banging in the goals for Cambridge United this season. Potential deadline day transfer??!!

30 year old left winger who plays in League 2, sounds like just what we need! :)

The irony is Ayew without fail disrupts the harmony on the pitch.  The whole coaching staff at the club should get in the bin.  They haven't corrected any bad habits from players like Ayew, Soumare, JV, Thomas, Okoli, Mav and Fatawu.

If Ayew throws a strop, I doubt there will be many in the squad that would care.  An easy win for King would be drop him, if he made a fuss just call him out.  The fans would like that but King doesn't come across as having that personality trait so it's understandable but frustrating to see Ayew in the line up constantly.

30 years old is nothing. This guy is the real deal.

When was the last time we signed a player before the last couple of days of a transfer window?

I'm thinking Oliver Skipp but even that was quite late IIRC.

We're just the pits when it comes to being organised and knowing what we want.

I don’t even think it’s about organisation, it’s about scrapping around the bargain bin of what’s left of the players desperate for moves at cheaper prices because it’s all we can afford.

2 of the 3 we’re signing today are just desperate for football and are free or loans.

We are 100% agent led in terms of recruitment. As opposed to going out and targeting the players we want and need we wait until agents come to us with suggestions.

I don't think it's a case of being cheap, I think it's simply laziness and a lack of ambition.

There's deals to be had earlier in the window for players that would fit the bill.
