Pita Posted 27 January 2025 Posted 27 January 2025 It’s near the end of the transfer window time for someone cast off players to sign for us.
FoxesWalk Posted 27 January 2025 Posted 27 January 2025 Us and Wolves being linked with Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, who is apparently out in Turkey now.
RedSoxUK Posted 27 January 2025 Posted 27 January 2025 Oxlade Chamberlain is the type of player to be brilliant for us for no reason at all. It'll work. 2

TommyK Posted 27 January 2025 Posted 27 January 2025 Oxlade Chamberlain is exactly the type of injury prone, expensive, past it signing that we've been complaining about and taken us away from our buy young/low sell high strategy. 1 1

What the point! We are so crap at January Transfer Window😡 We should just opt out of all future January transfer windows or extended to February, just for us, because our recruitment so shit and slow, even then we won’t sign anyone

We don't know the finer workings but I don't see an obvious pattern in our recruitment strategy and there's leagues we continue to ignore. Possibly not his ultimate responsibility as he might be set parameters in which to do his work but overall I think he's more Congerton than Walsh or Macia. Disagree personally. I think Macia is massively over rated by our fans. I think Glover when tasked with bringing in more obscure unknown signings has got more right than wrong. Where we’ve fallen short is when he’s been given a very short leash (premier league proven, out of contract, in our budget etc) or clear and obvious manager picks (skipp / casadai) even some of his historical work matches this. I’ll always be on board with someone who signed payet. I am pretty certain that he’s better at signing creative players than defenders though and if you look historically the defenders he’s gone after are the weak links
Sly Posted 27 January 2025 Posted 27 January 2025 Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderersare reportedly interested in signing former Liverpool and Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. 1

Over 50 million spent on abject defenders ( Coady, Souter, Kristianson and Okali). Looking forward to see his latest find!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 January 2025 Posted 27 January 2025 I'd prefer it if we didn't have to exhume any new signings tbqhwy ! 1

To be fair, if he can only spell Coady's name, maybe he just gave Rudkin a list of random names...

Him, Andos Townsend, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez or Javier Hernandez must want to come here with Dufkin offering the them a 3 year deal and the bulk of the Tom Cannon money? Get them all in and screw the Club once and for all.

AjcW Posted 28 January 2025 Posted 28 January 2025 Never understood Steve Walsh getting the blame at Everton, they brought him in and then gave two managers complete control over signings. It's well known Walsh recommended Robertson, Maguire and Haaland and the manager (Koemann) turned all 3 down When Big Sam came in, he gave Glover more control as they're mates, that's when Everton went and signed Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun for a combined 50m.... 2 1
