We all joked in December this is how it would play out in a deadline day panic but this is where we are basically at now. Clubs a joke, yes we are out relegation zone miraculously but with reinforcements like we so desperately need and we could of got lots more points in Jan.

I’m really hoping this last week Glover has been on to agents and clubs trying to get deals agreed for Top and Rudders to sign off once inquest finished

 

We still need three players in, there is time but a bit of a rush!

Fiorentina and Como have reached an agreement for the loan with option of Jonathan Ikoné. 1M € loan and 8M € option. The Frenchman will have his medical tomorrow or Friday. Bologna and Leicester tried their luck at the end in addition to Nantes #Mercato

I don’t get why fans expect anything different - this has been the pattern across every January window for as long as I can remember; and not just at our club, but every club.

 

And there’s good reason for that. The Christmas and January fixture period is always manic meaning clubs are unlikely to trade players at that point and time for negotiations are much more limited.

 

By and large it’s only when things settle down a little and players on the fringes of a squad get twitchy about future playing time and long term prospects that deals get agreed.
