Leicester are not a club that can turn down large money for single players. Way of the world. We need to take the money and invest wisely...which based on previous evidence might be difficult. 

 

I would actually try and get someone in in loan for a year and let the head of recruiting bed in for the rebuild next summer.

That may be so. And if he plays silly buggers with LCFC, that might also harm his career prospects, as some Clubs will be put off from signing stroppy c*nts with bad attitudes.  Plus it will damage our Club if we bend over and fold on this, as in the future anyone coming here (and their agents) will think we are muppets.

Controversially I don’t think we’ll even miss him when he’s gone. Since he came back into the team the defensive issues have not really improved have they? Don’t get me wrong he’s a magnificent player and will be one of the best but he’s not exactly been a revelation since coming back from injury.

 

The club need to use this opportunity to invest properly and address the weaknesses in the squad, with how badly this summer has gone for transfers there isn’t much time left to get it right. If we have to overpay slightly then overpay, as long as its right.

Happy to believe this but I have to say it’s funny how quickly ITKs on here jump to ‘just telling you what I’ve been told’ spiel. Nothing against you TPH but it is a common thread I find amusing :D

Have to say it was worrying the amount of times he got caught under the ball on the weekend. He can also get caught out by jumping in rashly. We’ve been done on the counter by it too especially last season. Obviously not ideal but we need the money.

He played a tiny amount last season, and as the Brentford game showed, as good as he is he doesn’t fix our problems. If the next bid is around 80, and assuming he had made it very clear he wants to go, we would be crazy not to accept. We are in a difficult spot as we want to be both that stepping stone club, and hold on to our best assets. I don’t want to deny him CL football next year and with him Euro conference qualification is a stretch for Leicester. A Chelsea shirt makes it far more likely he gets picked for France as well.

 

i just wish it wasn’t that scummy club.

Good player,bags of energy and would contribute a few goals as well.

I'd say we've looked better and that his pace and reading of the game has prevented a lot of goal scoring opportunities for the opposition. The only silver lining I can see is we end up with a system that uses 2 very deep lying centre halves and somehow Jannik turns into Robert Huth.

Are you a Leicester fan? I personally couldn't give a toss what the player thinks he's missing out on, he's 21, clearly used to getting his own way so extremely immature and he owes the club.

 

The club must put itself first, any act of self harm just to let the player guy should be unthinkable.

Assuming YT is gone, we’d have a very fit midfield around madders ! 

Then why the hell should we sell them Fofana if they won't even agree to our terms (assuming we ask for him as part of the deal of course)?
