1. He will only have 1 year left on his contract next summer so risk losing him for a cut priced deal. 
 

2. If we act too tough the other best young prospects wouldn’t want to join us if they think we will price them out of future moves. 
 

That’s why we have to get the balance almost spot on in order to make a profit and keep the cycle going, whilst remaining competitive. But also not putting future stars off from joining us because they think we will price them out of future moves. 

 

 

Edit to say just noticed it looks like WHam have an option for an extra year. But obviously won’t be able to achieve as big a fee next summer.

If he wanted that I think he would've signed a new deal by now rather than turning down a new contract 3 times with the highest worth about £200k a week

Our profit on him needs to be much higher than 50.

Most people in the game know he's a really special talent that don't come round very often.

That tackle on Sunday v Seville was a tackle that very few could do or even attempts through fear of giving away a penalty. 

He really is a player that we won't have on our books very often, if at all.

 

If those smug baskets want him, then make them pay a proper fee as he's worth loads to us.

Not sure where all the talk of him removing all references to us comes from , his twitter banner picture is still us ,his profile pic his him in a leicester shirt , he is posting about his takle in the last game and it main pinned tweet is him thanking all the leicester fans for all the support we gave him during his injury

The old heads on here say we don't have financial problems, we just need deadwood shifting and wages sacking off. 

 

So, we don't NEED to take any less than £100m for Fofana, in fact, taking anything for Fofana will weaken us (losing him destroyed our season last year)

 

What we do NEED is to stop fooking about turning down offers for shit like Vesty because of a couple of measley million.
