I only evaluate by what I see on the pitch, what Rodgers himself says and also some of what past Liverpool and Celtic supporters have commented. Why accept a new deal with a massive payrise if you plan on leaving a few months later. He could stay for one more season and literally have the pick of any team in the world rather than going to Chelsea now, who are unlikely to win anything anyway and have also tried signing 3 or 4 other centre backs before they went for Fofana. Chelsea are miles behind Man c and Liverpool and are miles behind several European teams in terms of the champions league. 2 1

Newcastle apparently not willing to pay for Maddison let alone Barnes as well, and if we sell Fofana we will be a very long way from cash strapped. 1
