Gravel Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 Aston Villa, Everton and Leicester City are lazily linked to X by another pointless speculating journalist trying to justify their existence

Mr.Bingles Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 (edited) Lingard isnt coming. I don't think we will bring anyone in. There will be a reset in the summer. Dust ourselves off after a season to forget. Edited 28 January 2022 by Mr.Bingles 1

Ric Flair Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 I'd do a straight swap if they want - Tielemans for Van de Beek, D'Shon Bernard and Lingard 1
justfoxes Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 If it looks as likely as reports that Youri is on his way out of City I’d take Lingard he’s a quality midfielder who can change games score goals and fill the void if Youri does go ?

The only problem is we are picking him up on the otherside of his prime but his skillset and experience will be invaluable. The big thing we suffer from is game management (leadership) and any know how he brings to the table would help us greatly. 2
lcfc_forever Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 I think he goes to Newcastle if he leaves in January, unless Lingard decides he wants to play for a different club but looks like he just wants first team football. Man U know they can get more money from Newcastle, and Newcastle's offer will already be higher than any other club is willing to pay. If we want him, our best chance is in the summer.
HybridFox Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 He didn't have a great experience here tbh albeit a number of years ago. I doubt he'd want to come back
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 He seems like he doesn't know where he's coming or going. Afew weeks back he was teasing West Ham on his Instagram posts, now they have lost interest in him, so he decides to opt to go to Newcastle where he'll get his 200k a week. He deserves to have his career recked for all his p***ing around, if he had been at Man U when Roy Keene and afew others were around he would have been sorted out in the dressing room for all his childish antics

He will not be going to a team that will be challenging for titles and getting the best contract that he could, would be uppermost in his mind, and perhaps a club looking to rebuild and willing to pay what he is looking for serves his purpose. Go out and enjoy your football, play for a team that wants you and you feel that you can help to push them forward. Why you have to look for finance first and happiness second when you have been so well paid for years, I just do not know.
Filberts lovechild Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 I’d quite like us to get Lingard but I don’t think we’re in for him at all. I just get the feeling over the last few transfer windows we’ve ran out of ideas
Chelmofox Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 Avoid. I think there's an attitude problem in there and he's not an upgrade on what we have (imho). 2
dylanlegend Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 Lingard on loan would be a great signing for us. give us a chance to sign him permanently for free in the summer. Man U won’t want him to got to West Ham as they are a rival for top 4. The thing that may make Lingard choose us is that we have a good recent history of our players getting in the England team which will be his priority for this year.

Ric Flair Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 What he did at West Ham last season was pretty hard to ignore, he has a strength of character that I do respect. Many of our fans think we need to carefully add some experience to the squad as some of our other experienced players decline or depart and Lingard at 29 would be ideal.
An Sionnach Posted 28 January 2022 Posted 28 January 2022 After being sidelined by Utd. , not because of his ability but probably his temperament , he will be looking for a deal that makes him a main man. He would want to be a fixture on the team list. If we did that , Maddison would be the one to suffer. He has, as far as I know , never done Youri's job.
