Popular Post hejammy Posted 10 February 2022 Popular Post Posted 10 February 2022 (edited) I'm sure some people on here didn't watch the game on Sunday. We've been miles better than Sunday! Worked hard most of the time, had some good play going forward. Unlucky with a defensive lapse by Ndidi to be behind. Also don't forget this is a really good Liverpool team. lgfualol Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 Not 4 nil down at half time, that's a result.
Scotch Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 Much better so far in terms of effort. Not managed to get playing too much but it's Liverpool, not many teams do. Albrighton has been very good. 1

I'd rather us show some intent to win it Yes I agree, however I'm looking at the remainder of the season and not just tonight. If we work hard as a team we can improve our form and start winning. If we show anywhere near the work rate and commitment we did on Sunday, we will be lucky to win another game this season. I don't particularly expect us to win tonight Liverpool are one of best teams in the world and are mile ahead of us, but if we can show some fight 2nd half we could get something out of it. Whilst I'd love us to win tonight, the players attitude, fight and commitment is vital tonight, regardless of result. 1

Dames Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 We’ve essentially rocked up at Anfield solely with the intent of not getting embarrassed.
TrentFox Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 The Daka fan boys will score him a match rating of 3m, but he’s been anonymous - again - even allowing for rubbish service. 😞

Ndidi lost Van Dijk and that pulled Justin, who went to try to stop him, out of position which gave Jota the space for the rebound shot. Edited 10 February 2022 by Cadno'r Cymoedd 1 1
Lako42 Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 Famous Anfield Sounds like it's being played during lock down 2 1

Not that we have a lot of options for the position. Come on mate. Yea he lost a header to a guy who had a running jump on him who is about half a foot taller than him. Wilf is way too weak marking his man!! Get tight lad!! 2
EnderbyFox Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 Daka is being bullied by VVD, mainly because there's not a blue shirt anywhere near him. Still in the game but we need to up the tempo, and Soumare needs to stop giving it away

hebangsthedrums Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 Actually think we're doing alright, even though Liverpool not got out of second gear KDH has faded a bit after good start and Daka is struggling but he won't face much better than VVD. For me perhaps the most important thing beyond not getting battered is the message to Cags & Youri (and perhaps Barnes).
Vacamion Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 Marc Albrighton by a street our best player. He can't possibly keep that level of effort going all game. KDH and Madders very good, too. But Liverpool obvs the better team with more chances. I hate that we can't defend corners and hardly ever score from attacking corners. I wonder if the two are linked?

Definitely heads haven’t dropped when the goal went in still fighting defending amazingly apart from that corner !!
beepee1984 Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 We don’t have the quality of Liverpool tonight, there’s no shame in that considering how we have been all season. Looking at the positive, we look like a team that are at least putting the effort in and it’s the lack of effort and care by the players that have left me fuming most games this season.

JamesfromlondonLCFC Posted 10 February 2022 Posted 10 February 2022 Yano I've long suspected Soyuncu has been the issue defensively and tonight is helping to confirm that suspicion 😂 2
