Much better so far in terms of effort. Not managed to get playing too much but it's Liverpool, not many teams do.

Albrighton has been very good.

A loss is a loss. I'd rather us show some intent to win it

Yes I agree, however I'm looking at the remainder of the season and not just tonight. If we work hard as a team we can improve our form and start winning. If we show anywhere near the work rate and commitment we did on Sunday, we will be lucky to win another game this season. I don't particularly expect us to win tonight  Liverpool are one of best teams in the world and are mile ahead of us, but if we can show some fight 2nd half we could get something out of it. Whilst I'd love us to win tonight, the players attitude, fight and commitment is vital tonight, regardless of result.

Who lost the guy who made the first header fir their goal?

Ndidi lost Van Dijk and that pulled Justin, who went to try to stop him, out of position which gave Jota the space for the rebound shot.

I like JJ, but he didn't stop the header either. He isn't match sharp yet. Not that we have a lot of options for the position.

Come on mate. Yea he lost a header to a guy who had a running jump on him who is about half a foot taller than him. Wilf is way too weak marking his man!! Get tight lad!!

Daka is being bullied by VVD, mainly because there's not a blue shirt anywhere near him.

Still in the game but we need to up the tempo, and Soumare needs to stop giving it away

Actually think we're doing alright, even though Liverpool not got out of second gear

KDH has faded a bit after good start and Daka is struggling but he won't face much better than VVD.

For me perhaps the most important thing beyond not getting battered is the message to Cags & Youri (and perhaps Barnes).

Marc Albrighton by a street our best player.  He can't possibly keep that level of effort going all game.

KDH and Madders very good, too.

But Liverpool obvs the better team with more chances.

I hate that we can't defend corners and hardly ever score from attacking corners.  I wonder if the two are linked?

I'm sure some people on here didn't watch the game on Sunday. We've been miles better than Sunday! Worked hard most of the time, had some good play going forward. Unlucky with a defensive laps by Ndidi to be behind. Also don't forget this is a really good Liverpool team.

Definitely heads haven’t dropped when the goal went in still fighting defending amazingly apart from that corner !!

We don’t have the quality of Liverpool tonight, there’s no shame in that considering how we have been all season.

Looking at the positive, we look like a team that are at least putting the effort in and it’s the lack of effort and care by the players that have left me fuming most games this season.
