Well he’s in England with his agent…

Sadly, at a cafe about 5 mins away from Spurs training ground 😬

Maybe they serve good coffee?

True… I just can’t think of another reason for a wealthy footballer to decide Enfield is the place to base himself whilst in London lollol

Interesting. I can't see Spurs being in for him, they've signed Kulusevski and as they aren't in Europe there's zero point trying to get Tete right now anyway.

If Tete is in England, it seems that he won't be joining a Brazilian team for the first part of their season, as was speculated. My understanding is that foreign players from Ukraine will be allowed to break their contracts in June, unless the war is definitively over (and maybe even then, given the fact that many of the stadiums are unusable). So if he isn't going to sign a temporary contract with anyone for the duration, that just gives him a few months to do the rounds. My guess is he will be having lots of coffees outside lots of training grounds before the end of the season. (I realize my speculation means he will sign for Spurs by the end of the day.)

Brentford and Atalanta don’t use conventional wingers.

the other prem teams aren’t in Europe.

Ac are out of Europe but are always an attractive team.

Benfica in all honesty Is the one to worry sbout. wouldn’t match us for wages but still in the champions league. A league that gives a winger a good chance at hitting big numbers and proves a step up from Ukraine and of course the country speaks his native language. If they are interested this is the one I’d see happening but otherwise depending on his appetite for club size or wealth I think us and AC would be pretty close.

I could see arsenal or even west ham coming in for him though

"Advanced talks" with a number of clubs. What the hell does that even mean?

Contract talks and signing on fee.

The player will easily have multiple offers and be in a strong negotiating position.

I agree with Finnegan though that if AC Milan want him he'll go there. Anyone would!

From a footballing perspective we can show him exactly where he will slot in the side, his position is exactly where we need someone. We are sounding very ambitious this summer so if we can offer him a starting role as a RW and match any other clubs wages with perhaps the exception of AC Milan the only thing against us is not looking  like we will be in Europe unless we can win the conference but we can offer him a starting role in the best league so if we want him we must be in with a decent shout.

I'd be surprised if we blow their offer out of the water to be honest.

ACs wage bill is about 50 million Euros and ours is north of 70 million pounds so I reckon we could definitely offer him enough to make it a significant difference

But  still, AC Milan is still AC Milan.  Bit  of prestige about it..

If AC Milan want him the only reason he'd come here is if he specifically wants to play in the Premier League.

Which he can’t do anyway because the premier league haven’t allowed these players to be registered. Only uefa have allowed them to be registered for European competition

I mean we have several times in recent years, you only have to look at Fofana. They wanted him but had no chance of matching what we did.

Quite stark the gulf really in finances.

Seems there are half dozen EPL clubs in interested in him now with Southampton in advance talks (I just read)

He only 22 and on a upwards trajectory, looks strong and tough,  about time we signed a South American, scoring goals and used to the cold weather and used to living abroad....sign him up nothing to lose

I do wonder what the exact situation is, as far as Shakhtar goes: Will they be due any compensation?

Because if we had an estimated kitty for a transfer fee for a RW, that could now be used for a signing on bonus ... yeah, it would be hard to match that.

Guy can't sign a permanent deal until end of June, so I doubt there are that many "advanced talks," except to generate a bidding war.

EDIT: Actually, I guess a team could actually sign him from Shakhtar and pay them a transfer fee, and get the permanent contract signed before June -- and also let the club seem less like vultures.

Signing him now seems the fairest way to go about it. It's not Shakhtar's fault Ukraine was invaded and they should be due something for losing their players. They are hardly in a strong bargaining position I realize but even if clubs sign their players and they haven't agreed any fee with Shakhtar fifa should step in and make a ruling on fair compensation just like you get when poaching a youth player.

Someone posted about their owner being  some sort of dodgy “ biznizman “ with links to Russia - I wouldn’t lose sleep over it -

If that's the case then don't give them a penny.
