Shearer has his list as this and I think Micah Richards was similar. I know there's been a discussion on here about people's irrational dislike of Kane but there's a 2 or 3 people I'd have above him on that list in terms of natural talent. Luis Suarez and Le Tissier (no idea why he's so low in the order) for a start.

Thoughts? Any other shouts that aren't on the list?

I think that's a decent list tbh. Can't think of anyone obvious who's missing from it.

I think they're given the 10 player list and simply have to order them. I thought Shearer in particular would've had Le Tiss higher

I'd have Modric in over Son and maybe someone like Santi Cazorla or Xabi Alonso

Yeah both great shouts. I think Cazorla is the only player I've seen take a corner left footed then go and take the next one with his right foot. Both him and Alonso were class players.

I was surprised Liverpool let Alonso go tbf.

Tend to agree. There are contenders like Ozil and Pogba, but would they make top ten?

Edit. Zlatan would be a worthy top ten.

I could be wrong but has he not scored a free-kick with both feet?

I guess you have to factor in impact on the premier league rather than the quality of player in isolation. Son's impact is probably greater than Modric for example.

I’m assuming it only counts their actual time in the PL as Zlatan won plenty of titles in other countries. He was very good in his one full season in the PL but I’m not sure it was anywhere near his peak.

I think the list is about right. I’d probably have Son over Modric based on their PL careers, though Modric was obviously the better player over their entire careers.

I think Les Ferdinand would be a shout. Absolutely quality player on par with Fowler, Shearer or Andy Cole at his peak at QPR and Newcastle. Though had the second half of his career ruined by injuries at Spurs.

I was thinking Les Ferdinand as well. Ginola maybe?

I'm surprised Shearer didn't pick Sir Les.

I listened to this last week and i'm sure Shearer said he'd put Sir Les in his top 10.

Forgetting the cynical but downright schadenfreude humour of the Great Gerrard slip.

Besides Gerrards loss   There were some other Good players at Liverpool that also missed out..
