So many games in such a short space of time, I'd snatch your hand off for 7 points from the 12 available.

I actually agree, I wanted him out for ages, but it's not going to happen, he's getting the first few months of next season regardless.

 

Our squad should be good next year too, with no European commitments it'll be fresh and able to compete in the EPL most weeks.

Win all games in hand.

Level with Wolves and 2 behind Man Utd.

Man Utd finish the season away at Liverpool and away at Arsenal.

 

7th place finish for us and neither Wolves or Man Utd in Europe. Great times.

Aside from it's not really irrelevant. As stated, it won't happen, but winning all our games in hand and suddenly we're pushing Wolves and Man Utd.

 

IF we finish anywhere in top 10 and win Europa Conference it will be another good season.

 

Rodgers should be nowhere near a P45.

Don't we set out to win every game? That's the intention anyway. Of course, to achieve that would be incredible but you have that attitude and see what happens.

Swings and roundabouts, we cpupd be 13th by the end of today. Still think we'd finish 9th or 10th.

 

Think our busy schedule will probably mean we drop points as we rotate despite picking up our form.

There's also something to be said for finishing the season strong and confident. 

 

You could see that boost in 15/16 and 19/20.

Id rather get 40 points and win the cup so we get europa again next season. Its way more important. Getting 8th to 10th is a feel good story for an injury plagued season.

 

Getting Europa will help keep some players and potentially attract those who want EPL action and european football.

I think we could have a very respectable finish. Top 8 would be brilliant given how bad we've been at times.

 

Also frustrating given the silly points thrown away we could well have been in the bigger European picture

 

Maintain the conference league is still our best shot though

It’s possible to end with 61 points - never going to beat Chelsea or Spurs away. More realistically it’ll be 57-58 as we could have a couple of draws.

We play 3 games before Wolves play again.

Yes PSV is the priority obviously, but we could close the gap considerably in the next 2 weeks. I don’t think finishing 7th is out the question but I think 7 points minimum from those 3 games would be needed

I've been waiting for us to have a good run all season.

 

On the plus side, we have a lot of players available.

 

On the down side we have fixture congestion and two of the injured players are first choice.   

 

Because we have been so inconsistent,  I can see us getting anything between 7 and 22 points between now and the end of the season.   

 

Despite the fixture congestion, staying in Europe might be better for us as far as the league is concerned.   Confidence is so important.

 

I am hopeful a good run will happen.

Imagine if we hadn't let in those late goals against Spurs, and the late equalisers against West Ham and Brighton.

 

We would be on 47 point and well in the hunt for top 6 :facepalm:

Thank Rodgers for stopping us attacking and trying to defend it.

 

Our best form of defense was to attack and he stopped us dead. To hope our weak defense could hold out.

It’s been a rollercoaster season but we go into the final stretch in better form and both wolves and Manchester United stuttering. Every team have dropped silly points. We can’t change the past but a good end to the season will see us all more optimistic for the coming season. If we get into the top eight that will be quite an achievement and help our ability to make the tweaks to our squad needed for a stronger push in the league and European places next year. As fans all we can do is get behind the team. Leave the negative stuff to the opposition.

Let be honest sometimes the players have to do their jobs.

 

Simple case of players losing individual duels for headers in all 3 games
