SouthStandUpperTier Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 Not even a Championship record fee. The body blows keep on coming. 2

Tielemans63 Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 (edited) That's a crap deal. £50m should be the minimum we'd accept. £40m is rank bad business Edited 27 June 2023 by Tielemans63
Quorn_fox Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 Cheerio then, James (no ‘Madders’ crap for me). Thanks for the goals and assists but I’m not particularly sorry to see you go. Difficult to love someone who’s so in love with themself I guess. 1 1
splinterdream Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 It hopefully has add ons, it's a steal, but this is the nature of leaving your prize assets to their last year then getting relegated, hope the club realises, they need to plan alot better

STUHILL Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 If it is £40 million up front and £5-10m in add-ons, then that is about right to be honest. Doesn't seem like there were many other clubs in for him, and we undoubtedly needed this to be done quickly. Good luck Madders, but don't expect to win any trophies there! 2

Yep, I’d say Barnes is another £40m, Iheanacho £10, Ndidi £5m. Although we are beyond ****ed if non of this gets reinvested.

GLC Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 I actually like him slightly more now he’s going to spurs over the Saudis in the north. 2
mozartfox Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 The lure of Audi Cup Football was always going to win Spuds over Newcastle. 1
Md9 Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 Hopefully kane and son piss off from there and all he has as a team mate is the silly pidgeon dancer .
Sampson Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 Are people really saying they turned on him for a social media post, which he said some forgettable media speak nonsense like "we played well, we'll be fine if we play like that"? Yeah it was proved wrong, but you'd think he threatened all our fans on twitter or celebrated well loved people's deaths or something. People also moaned when our players said nothing in the press and people moaned when Rodgers did the opposite after Forest and basically said we were crap and not good enough. It was a lose-lose-lose situation whatever any of our players did in that case. Seriously, some of you need to grow up. Do you genuinely treat other human beings you know in real life like this any time they say something that ended up being false or wrong? Especially as if 1
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 Good player, but not sad to see him go. Decent price for an injury prone player with one year left on his contract, and glad it seems like it'll be sorted relatively early in the window.

LestaLad Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 Would’ve been happy with 50m.. 40 just seems wayyy too cheap when you’ve got mount going for like 65m

lgfualol Posted 27 June 2023 Posted 27 June 2023 Newcastle fans acting like they're Real Madrid, after their first successful season in ages. This move makes sense for him, aside from no European football. He'll love the London life and be their main/only creative player.
