See that's the painful thing, a year ago I'd have said f**k it, give him the armband to show how much he's wanted and tie him down as part of the club fabric...

 

... then KDH happened. He's our rock going forwards. It's mad that a youngster looks like armband material after half a season, but he really has made that much of a difference. He's carrying us while Youri regresses, which a year ago looked unthinkable as we clawed around looking for a way to keep the latter.

With that in mind, enjoy Li'l Wes while we can, and fingers crossed he enjoys it enough here that he chooses to stick around of his own volition.

Did someone doubt the club getting him to sign an extension just before he returned? He should have been given a 6 year contract extension!

Just starting to calm down after that. Almost choked on my tea 5 minutes ago. Brilliant management by BR for the changes. Lookman MUST  be our primary target in the summer. Perez superb, Maddison and Wes world class. Simply wonderful. 

 

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I would see a city side get to a semi in Europe. The last 8 years have been sensational.
