To be fair most of us wanted him to focus on ECL rather than risking players in the Prem, so I can't blast him for that, it's the lack of doing the basics and simple errors that piss me off more thna anything.

Defensively today we have been shocking and I’m afraid it again shows how we have a decent first team, but the squad is bang average.

This has been the problem under Rodgers tenure. Our squad players are nowhere near the mark. Amartey, Soumare, Perez… none of them good enough to progress the club any further

These performances are getting beyond pathetic now.  Not going down obviously but only 10 points clear of bottom 3.  We've been poor for so long now I genuinely can't remember the last time we beat anyone with a really good performance  to go with it.

I know it's highly improbable that you can get back into the game but look at the way we're playing; no interest in trying to score and nobody who's played a game of football is content to do that. Clearly not allowed to deviate from the plan set out by the manager.

Son and Kane get in every team in the league.

It's a shame how this game panned out. Thought we started so well and were brave with our passing and strong in the duels. 

 

But the lack of quality is ultimately showing. Amartey and Perez combining to gift Kane a goal. Daka and Soyuncu being weak for their second. 

 

Soumare had that great run and did alright first half only to vanish or be lazy on the ball second half. Frustrating. 

 

Kel has reverted to his pre-2020 form and looks lethargic again.

 

I guess some key players have received a rest today, but to me it seems clear that our performance ceiling has gone down versus previous years.
